We go to the ILs and she doesn't cook Thanksgiving anymore. Still goes all out for Christmas dinner and says once a year is enough. :rotfl:
We do get all the fixings from Cracker Barrel. Their turkey is okay, but the sweet potato casserole is amazing.

Since moving to FL we use to eat a T-Day meal at WDW. The last few years they blocked out the DDE discount for major holidays. :sad2: So we plan off property stuff now.

Last year we had quite an experience...
DH runs a Turkey Trot (road race) somewhere every year. I had him put the turkey in the oven before he left for the race.
Someone crashed their car into a main utility pole a few blocks from our house and we were without power almost all of T-Day last year.
We dropped our half cooked turkey along a country road so some critters could at least have a nice feast.
Meanwhile we went to DTD and ate at RFC. I have their Safari Club card and was able to be seated in just a few minutes. Which is WONDERFUL for a busy holiday.
This year I hope for better luck than last year and to make a nice dinner at home.
:dance3:

:goodvibes :lmao: that is nice that you decided to share your turkey with some critters :thumbsup2 . Hope your Thanksgiving turns out better this year.

I cook Thanksgiving lunch, and everyone comes over to our house. This year, it seems like there will be more people attending, but not sure exactly how many. Last year, my ham was done, but while my turkey was in the oven, we had an earthquake-it was after our big one that we had a couple weeks back. So hopefully this year, nothing like that will happen, and we will have a nice day with everyone.

Brussel sprouts.

I really like cabbage, but brussel sprouts are NOT mini cabbage.

If you were to visit a different state, which would you like to visit, and what would you like to do there?

Wyoming, and go to Yellowstone. We've planned a trip for next summer. We've tried twice before, so we're hoping the third time is the charm!

Bobbi:goodvibes

I have a friend who lives in VA, not far from the DC area. I keep meaning to have us take a drive up there, visit, and go through the Smithsonian.
Maybe next year.

We have been to Vegas many of times, but I want to go back. DH's relatives are up there, and more and more of them keep moving up.

If you were able to order a special food items to be at your Thanksgiving meal, what would you choose?

Just wanted to share the kids all decked out for Thanksgiving.

I actually won't mind trying a turducken. They look interesting. I have been tempted before. I don't want to eat the duck part though :rotfl:
