I have yet to find a salad I don't like, lol! But I very very rarely use any salad dressing at all (when I do it is either a vinaigrette, Italian, or just oil and vinegar on the side... every 4th bite or so I'll dip my fork into it and then stab some greens/veggies).

I missed the Friday recipes---but I'll be ready next time! Well....in 2 weeks :goodvibes This Friday we'll be in Phoenix for a wedding.

My favorite salad these days is what my aunt calls her winter salad. It's really good--has romaine lettuce, pears, dried cranberries, cashews in it. Can't remember what else right now! But the dressing is a homemade sweet lemon poppyseed dressing....YUM!

Hmmmm, my favorite salad is one I have had just one time. It was at a restaurant called The Ranch House but it's not around anymore. It was a salad that the waiter made at your table. It consisted of different lettuces, pecans, crumbled blue cheese and some kind of dressing that was so very delicious.

I like Chinese chicken salad but without the cilantro, or chicken ceasar salads and my favorite dressing is the Kraft Poppyseed dressing.

I Love ranch on my French Fries, and on my salad I like Ranch or bleu cheese or italian, but I never have it ON my salad, it's always on the side, where I dip my tines BEARLY into the dressing.

I very much like blue cheese dressing, and blue cheese. That's the "good" way, on the side, dipping your tines in...but that's not the way I take it...I do use less than they give me...I just like the taste too much!

We visited New Orleans last weekend, and ate at a place that served brown gravy on the french fries. That's apparently a delicacy, I tried them that way, but no thanks!

"My" potato salad, is a country potato salad from a Betty Crocker cookbook...eggs, radishes, relish, celery, celery seed and some more ingredients combine to make a yummy combo for my family!

I've enjoy reading your likes...especially the ranch dressing with pecans, blue cheese, and the cranberries. Yummy!

Today is another recipe of the day, so share with us a recipe that you want to try, that is a family favorite,......

I;ve go no recipes to share today, as I'm packing for a trip for a week to Atlanta. It's for my Birthday Tomorrow and a wedding of a friend on Saturday. The rest of the time i'll play tourista.

Here is what I want to try-

French Onion Soup

8-10 large onions sliced
1/2 cup butter or margarine
6 101/2 oz cans condensed beef both
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3 bay leaves
10 slices French bread toasted
grate parmesan and/or shredded mozzarella cheese

1. Saute onions in butter until crisp-tender. Transfer to slow cooker
2. Add broth, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaves
3. Cover. Cook on low 5-7 hours or until onions are tender. Discard bay leaves
4. Ladle into bowls and top each with a slice of bread and some cheese.

Dianna, have a safe trip :).

Don't really have a recipe that I want to try, that is a family favorite. When ever we come across a recipe that sounds good, we make it and have everyone over to try it.

Fears......

Clowns
Heights
Escalators
Bees (I am very allergic)

The same for us. We already make the family favorites.

My fears:

flying
heights
high winds during a storm (thunder and lightening don't scare me)

I haven't been here in awhile.. I'll have to think about the recipes and post one. We're off to Phoenix tomorrow for DH's cousin's wedding. DS6 is in it.....I did warn the bride-to-be that he might just do a Kung Fu move on the way down the aisle, or stop to kiss his Grammy!:rotfl2: I just don't know.

Fears:

My fears-

Myself or my loved ones getting sick or dying

I used to collect teapots and salt and pepper shakers. I don't anymore because my mom so many for me, she took all the fun out of it. I don't collect anything now except maybe dust bunnies. :rolleyes1
