What sort of ingredients do you like in your salad? Have you ever tried your salad with avocado in it?

Olives, cheese, several kids of lettuce, tomato, carrots, eggs, pretty much anything
Yes love avocado

I enjoy things like cherry tomtoes, mandarin oranges, sunflower seeds, sliced hardboiled egg, mango. I enjoy avocado as well, from time to time.

Are you a pin trader? If so, have you always had good experiences? How do you approach people in trading pins.
No, pin trading didn't really become as big a deal until after our last trip 12 years ago. Its not something I think I would like to do.

What sort of ingredients do you like in your salad? Have you ever tried your salad with avocado in it?
Besides lettuce - tomatoes, carrots, hard boiled eggs, sunflower seeds, croutons, yellow or orange bell peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower and definitely avocado.

If a hurricane were headed your way, what would you do to prepare for it? Do you have an emergency supply?

I would be extremely unprepared for it. I've got lots of batteries, but do not have a whole lot of food that I could eat without power. So I'd probably run out to buy canned goods.

We survived Sandy. We are more prepared than before. We bought generators hrs after Sandy so that was the last item we needed to deal with the aftermath.

We are more likely to get an ice storm, but no, we do not have a generator. I can see us buying something for emergency preparedness if we do move to FL.

I like to have all the necessities on hand. And if anything should happen, then we should be okay. But whenever we have a warning, then I do go to the store to stock up more.

Have you ever eaten Pinkberry frozen yogurt? If so, is there a difference between Pinkberry, and any other frozen yogurt shop? What is your favorite frozen yogurt shop, and what sort of toppings do you like to put onto your froyo?

So sorry that I have been MIA! Between working a couple extra days, working at our church festival & being under a water emergency where that national guard had to be called in!!!! I has not been my wk! We had no access to water along with a half a million other residents of NW Ohio & SW Michigan from late Friday night, until late Monday morning! It was total pandemonium here & we were under a State emergency. My husband & FIL drove 2 hrs away to buy drinking water as the whole area was out of water for drinking. We were initially not able to drink it, touch it, bathe in it, wash dishes, wash clothes or water our lawns. The hospital system I worked for had to cancel non emergency surgeries as there was no way to clean equipment, etc. It has been a nightmare.

Do you like thunderstorms?
Yes, especially at night

Are there many museums in your area?
Do you go to them often?
Yes we have a wonderful art museum, I go often & have taken glass blowing classes there

Does your town have a fair?
There's a county fair

Do you prefer Pepsi or Coke products, or none at all?
I really don't like either, I like root beer though

Are you a pin trader? If so, have you always had good experiences? How do you approach people in trading pins.
I've never participated in this

What sort of ingredients do you like in your salad? Have you ever tried your salad with avocado in it?
I think I've only had avocado in salads from restaurants, I've never put it in one at home. I like cheese, bacon, cucumbers, croutons & leaf lettuce

If a hurricane were headed your way, what would you do to prepare for it? Do you have an emergency supply?

We don't have hurricanes here, but we do get level 3 snow emergencies, tornados & flooding. After this past wkend I'm well stocked in water...:rotfl2:

I've never heard of it! We used to have TCBY here when I was a kid, but it closed.

I've never had Pinkberry.

I go to Menchies. I like putting mini peanut butter cups, cherries, those little flavour beads that pop in your mouth, and usually any fruit they have available.

The last time I had froyo I had salted pretzel caramel flavour. Very yummy!

TCBY was the first frozen yogurt that we had here many years ago. There are now shops here, and there, and we go to them occassionally. We do like Menchies :) No Pinkberry, but would like to try it.

I usually add on strawberries, cookie crumbles, a sugar wafer, ....

If a hurricane were headed your way, what would you do to prepare for it? Do you have an emergency supply?
We sometimes get the aftermath, wind and rain. I don't have an emergency supply but what I've got in my pantry should get us through for a couple of days.

Not that particular kind. We have Purpleberry (I think that's what it's called) here and I've eaten there. I just like plain vanilla with chopped peanuts and maybe a little chocolate.

I've been seeing what has been happening in your area on the news. Hope it gets better soon!

Patsy, keep us updated on your situation. Hoping that you all get out of it unscathed.

When there is a storm headed your way, and you had to choose one of the below choices, which would it be? *And lets say you do not have a back up generator....just no power for a few days.

*A refrigerator, and freezer that is well stocked. But knowing that with no power the food will go bad as the days go by.

*Just having about a days supply of food, then wondering what you will eat since you only have one days worth of non perishable foods.

I would pick the second, knowing that I could eat peanut butter and non perishable things for a long time. There seem to be more things now that do not require refrigeration. Oh, and I would have about 15 loaves of zucchini bread in the freezer, we would have something to eat!
