Do you shop on Black Friday? Are you there before the sun rises or wait until later in the day? Do you avoid stores altogether that day?

Been to two Black Fridays before....Thursday night specials for last year. I try to avoid it, and would like to this year, but my daughter wants to go, so we will see.

We don't really have a Black Friday here...

But I've heard about it, and would avoid it like the plague.

I do shop on black friday. We usually head out Thanksgiving night and get back home around 10am. I am trying to not go this year to be nice to my husband who always gets dragged along.

I usually don't do Black Friday shopping. If I do, it is usually later in the day when the craziness had subsided.

Do you host Thanksgiving dinner at your home or go to someone else's? If you host, do you make the whole meal or have people bring side dishes to contribute?
Before we moved to Ohio, we would go to someone else's house. Now though, we host and I do 95% to 100% of it all.

Yes. I'm not necessarily looking for a deal, I just like the excitement of the day. Usually go before sunup and home before noon.

What is your favorite movie? Why?
Two all time favorites are Ever After and Count of Monte Cristo. I love happy endings.

What is your favorite movie? Why?

That's a toughie.

I really like Murder in the First, which is about Alcatraz. Kevin Bacon performs SO WELL that I cry pretty much every time.

I also really love Big Fish, with Ewan McGregor in it. I love the tall tales, and seamlessly the short stories were threaded together to create a smoothly flowing movie. It is one of the few times in my life where I admitted I enjoyed the movie better than the book.

This is the first year I am cooking for more people than just my DH and DS. My mom, dad, and possibly my neice and her unofficial boyfriend. I am cooking a sugar glazed ham, bbq turkey, cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, deviled eggs, sweet potato casserole, potato salad, yeast rolls, and a pumpkin dip. My mother is bringing peas, pumpkin and pecan pies

No, absolutely not! I did that one year and watched a fight break out over a $5 bucket of playdough. Crazy!

What is your favorite movie? Why?

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.....my all-time favorite. Such a beautiful love story

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Anywhere that had a beautiful beach

Does your family have any family secret recipes? And if so, do you know it?

Oh, yes! My aunt WillaDean has two recipes famous in the family - her delicious Red Velvet Cake and her potato salad. It took over 30 years to get her to share the Red Velvet cake recipe, still haven't gotten the potato salad though.

My granny died without sharing her butter roll recipe. My absolute favorite dessert in this world. She has been gone now for over 25 years and I can still remember how that butter roll tasted. All of us in the family have tried to duplicate the recipe but nothing comes close to hers. Its like no matter what recipe we come up with something is always missing.

My aunt Inez (we called her Aunt Nez) used to make out of the world Tea Cakes. But she too died without sharing her recipe. My momma used to make them with her with she was a little girl (Aunt Nez was the oldest of 6 children) and she gets pretty close but they aren't the same.

Sounds yummy!

We do not have any that I know of.
