If you were to travel to one of the U.S. states that you have never been to, which would it be, and what are some things that you would like to do, try, see, .....

Hawaii

As for what to see, what do you recommend Patsy?

Heidi, you could see the volcano, go to a luau, there are many ocean activities you could do, .....

I would want to visit New York. Eat a Juniors cheesecake, see a play, .....

Does anyone in your family have a secret food or drink recipe? Or maybe a specialty that they make for get togethers? Something that is maybe requested at each family gathering, .....?

Its not a secret recipe but I am always told (not asked) to bring deviled eggs.

An aunt is always be asked to bring macaroni salad in spring/summer, but cowboy beans in fall/winter.

(Yes I was asked for the cowboy bean recipe once before, but kept forgetting to ask for it. I will wright a note to myself to get it this weekend and the post it here.)

Tax session is here. Have you put together your papers, made an appointment, or maybe even got your taxes done yet?

Everything is together, will drop them off this weekend.

I am ready to start weeding my garden, and plant some new seeds, and seedlings. I know that it is snowing in many states, and that it might not be planting season where you live. But when it is time to plant things....

Will you be gardening this season?

I will buy some new plants in mid Feb, but I don't do yard work. We hire someone to do it.

No garden here, we would need to fence it in to keep the wildlife out.

Nope -- I like to shop at the Farmer's Market, though!

It would be nice to be able to hire someone to do all my weeding, but I am my own garden help.

Heidi, what type of wildlife do you get coming to your house? Deers? Gophers?

We shop at our farmers market as well, but mostly for papaya.

I bought a bunch of seedlings today, so will work on my garden tomorrow.

How do you like your french fries prepared? Garlic fries, chili cheese fries, just with salt, .....?

Deer, rabbit, groundhog, raccoon, skunk, squirrel, bear and then there is the neighborhood animals that people are too stupid to keep tied up.

Fries - just a little salt sometimes ketchup, sometimes no ketchup.

To much cold and snow to even think about planting. I don't have much luck either. I have lots of wildlife and prefer to feed them instead. I put out seed and fruit for the deer, birds and squirrels

French fries. Love em plain or the works doesn't matter I'll take em. Unfortunately I'm dieting at the moment so I miss them :(

Vermont, specifically Burlington: Vermont Teddy Bear Company factory, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream factory, Lake Champlain Chocolate factory . . . ideally in late September, early October, to enjoy the leaves. Maybe for our anniversary one year?

In my family, deviled eggs (a pinch of mustard powder and dill). My wife and in-laws aren't big egg fans, but everyone loves my fudge (Ghirardelli chocolate) and cookies at Christmas!

Usually I do them after my late-March birthday to postpone writing a check, but I should get money back this year! Waiting for one form, then will do them ASAP.

Must be fried crispy, just salt is fine, especially sea salts. I also like to "dip" them in some sort of aioli. Garlic and other flavored fries are tasty, but not smothered in chili or gravy or other sauces -- they get soggy. *blech*

Now I'm hungry . . .
