Iced tea. I'm really not much of a drinker. Once a year or so I go all out and order a Midori Sour.

Well if we are going by time, the last time I was at a bar and had a long island iced tea was when I was first married and I have been married 27 years. :)

A friend dropped by on Thursday and gave me an eggplant, mozzarella cheese, leaf lettuce and cilantro leaves. She was going camping and didn't have time to use these things which would go bad in the time she was away.

What would you do with these items?

Also, sorry there was no question yesterday. I did not realize I had said "yes" to both threads! Thank you, Patsy for the PM!:goodvibes

spicy chicken casserole, a family favorite, with the mozzarella and cilantro. Green salad with it and throw the eggplant in the garbage

Eggplant & cheese?

Yes. You can bread the eggplant. Slice your eggplants, and put them in water to get the acid out. Then coat them in a mixture of flour, garlic salt, and pepper. Then in an egg wash, followed by seasoned bread crumbs. Fry it in a pan with oil until it browns, or put it on a baking sheet. Eat as is, put it in a sandwich, or put soy sauce on it. Yum! Might make some tonight.

Sounds good!

In the end, I used the eggplant, mozzarella, breadcrumbs (my friend had wanted to give me some) tomato sauce and fresh basil from my garden and made a delicious dinner, we'll finish it tomorrow! I did use the greens for a salad and will use the cilantro on in one of hubby's dishes, I don't like it, but he does.

You could use the cilantro in a Chinese chicken salad, or summer rolls. At first, I did not like cilantro, but now I do.

We woke up on Tuesday to find that a water pipe in our upstairs bathroom leaked and we had water flowing down through the basement. 3 days ago we realized we couldn't handle it alone and now have a contractor hired. We have large dehumidifiers and fans working on 3 levels.

Have you lived in a house while it was undergoing some renovations? Either because you wanted it, like putting in a new kitchen, or because it has sustained damage of some kind?

I am so tired of the noise of the equipment! They should be removed tomorrow.

Sorry about the water leak.

No we have never had any kind of damage.

yes, but nothing major (well, they seemed major at the time, but only a day to take care of each of them)........kitchen countertops replaced and and 2 leaks. One was a upstairs water heater leak that went through the floor to the downstairs ceiling and other was a leak in a water pipe in the ceiling downstairs.

We've had leaks in our pipes before but nothing to the point where we had to have renovations done. We have had one our bathrooms renovated because it was ugly looking lol.
