Happy Labor Day.

I finished making up the Halloween goodie bags. :duck:

I try to take a nap from time to time. But I usually wake up with a headache or feeling blah.

If you were to have a neighborhood grilling party with all of your neighbors, and yourself contributing to the potluck, what would you bring, and what do you think they would bring?

We would not do a neighborhood grilling party. We don't know a lot of our neighbors and the few we do only 1 family stays here permanently, the rest live in the city's.

However when we do a family grilling party, i am always asked to bring deviled eggs, but sometimes i bring something different (i get tired of making eggs all the time). My sister brings mac and cheese, a cousin brings scalloped potatoes, and an aunt brings cowboy beans.

What did you have?
Joe had a Belgian Waffle with bacon and eggs. I had the Country Omelet. The omelet has ham, onions and hash browns in it. It's too big for me to eat with the pancakes it comes with so I requested fruit instead of pancakes.

Hmmm, we don't have neighborhood parties but the people across the street do invite certain neighbors over on the 4th of July. They won't let us bring anything because Joe has helped them out so much. But if they would let us, we would probably take something like Brats/Keilbasa.

What is your most favorite-

*Halloween candy- candy corn but I don't eat a lot of it

*Thanksgiving side dish- cranberry sauce or green bean casserole or stuffing, it's too hard to pick just one.

Tuna noodle casserole (cook egg noodles, drain. Mix together canned tuna, cream of mushroom soup and milk. Put noodles in a casserole dish and pour the tuna mixture over top, cover and bake till heated through, stirring once.)

Doesn't have a name (cook fusilli(corkscrew pasta) drain. Mix in a baking dish with your favorite meat sauce and top with mozzarella cheese, bake until cheese is melted, hot and bubbly.)

Lasagna

Oh my gosh! The first one is a staple in our house. My DD eats this ALL THE TIME! I grew up eating this and now my DD is eating it whenever she wants a 'snack'. Ha!

I also make a tuna noodle casserole, but with Mac & Cheese noodles with a can of mushroom soup and a can of tuna, mix together, put in a dish and sprinkle corn flake crumbs over the top and bake in the oven until golden brown - mmmm - it's a comfort food for me. My Mom used to make it when I was a kid.

Today is a busy day/night for me, so I am going to post tomorrows QOTD now.

If you were invited to a wedding, and the couple had everything they needed, and you wanted to get them a personal gift other then a gift card or membership to somewhere, what would you get them?

If they drank i would bring a bottle of their favorite.

What other types of pasta do you like to eat other than spaghetti?
Lasagna

Spaghetti Pie

Cheeseburger Macaroni

Chicken Noodle soup

Tortellinis

Reservations at a B&B
Tickets to an event of some sort

Thank you for those suggestions. I was first thinking of personalized items like a throw or Christmas ornaments. But the couple is always with family for Christmas, so I cancelled that idea. I will have to do more searching. At least the wedding is at the starting of next year.

Do you have a certain item that you are known for? Ex. say if you collect turtles, when your family and friends are trying to find you a gift, they usually see a turtle item, and think of you?
