Yes i like the Stouffer's individual meals, however they are a bit expensive so we only buy them when the store has them on sale.

I like the mac and chesse the best but i eat a lot of the different meals, however i don't eat any of the pork meals.

Do you like to eat prepackaged frozen foods. Either for the taste, convenience, ..... if so what are your favorites, and what items do you tend not to eat or dislike?

I really dont' enjoy any of them. If I'm in a pinch for something to eat I'd rather just eat a sandwich. I ate them growing up but not now.
I'd love to see what others think are good though. I'm willing to try a new brand or meal!

I grew up eating those frozen Mexican food meals. That was way back when a frozen meal was a novelty. Showing my age!

We used to eat Totinos frozen pizzas and occasionally the Stouffers french bread pizza. I have eaten the Stouffers lasagne at different large group meals like at church or Boy Scouts. I pretty much stay away from prepared frozen meals now because of the sodium content.

If I were to buy a prepared frozen meal, it would be the Stouffers french bread cheese. I'm not a fan of pepperonis but do like the crunch of the toasted bread.

My mom and dad like a lot of the Lean Cuisine meals. She doesn't cook much anymore and they are quick and easy. I don't care for them though.

ugh..no I do not like them. I can eat SOME if I had too.

What are some different fun outside activities you are able to do in your area during the evenings. Ex. Catching fireflies, going to the movies,.....

During the summer months we have concerts by the lake. Also, movies in the park.

Fish on the pier at the lake.

Take a walk.

Cook smores.

Listen to the coyotes wail.

In the summer since it's light until after 10pm any outdoor activity is great. There are also concerts under the sky, festivals, camping etc. There is also that time honored tradition.. of dodge or squish that mosquito! I hate insects!!!!:scared1:

In the winter when it's dark around 4pm ,if you bundle up, you can watch for the northern lights. They really are pretty!:thumbsup2

Sounds like alot of fun things can be done where all of you live. I would love to see the Northern Lights, fish on a pier, listen to coyotes.....

Here, nothing much to do. Places close earlier anyways, unless you want to go to the bar, or tourist stores....

Hello

I had gone to the store today, and there were all kinds of holiday magazines from scrapbooking, to cooking. So todays QOTD is, do you usually purchase magazines, or subscribe to them? If so, what are your favorites to read/or skim through?

I used to subscribe to a few. Now I just pick up interesting ones--usually food related. Love Southern Living! I like to read People at the orthodontist office.:lmao:

Our town rolls up the carpet at dusk. There are a few town festivals coming up, tho. Otherwise we need to drive about 10 minutes to Reading.

Here's my tip for the day: busy bones for dogs = busy morning for Lynne
:rotfl2: be careful giving those bones to your dogs. I gave our boxer a Jumbone treat yesterday. I swear she's had them before but we woke up to the sweet smell(not) of ...well, let's just say I have a LOT of candles burning, all the windows open and I'm off to finish the cleaning--steam clean my carpets and scrub my floors.

Oh Lynne your poor doggie (and you) hope he is feeling better soon.

I am currently subscribed to too many and I'm going to let a couple lapse. I get Budget Travel, Natural Health, Cat Fancy (gift from DD), and Consumer Reports. My favorite is Budget Travel.

Welcome! I hear through the grapevine that you live in my town.

I get several magazines, some I subscribe to, others come as part of a service.

O Magazine - I got two years for $10. A good deal but a waste of money. The magazine is the pits as far as I'm concerned.

Better Homes and Gardens - subscription

Farmers Electric Coop magazine - comes to us as part of our electical service

AARP magazine/newspaper - both come as part of our membership

Costco magazine - comes as part of our membership

Poor doggie, hope it feels better soon, you too Lynne! That's the main reason why our dogs stay outside.

So as I was surfing through the t.v. stations, I came upon a show called Big Easy Brides. They feature INTERESTING weddings in New Orleans. So todays QOTD is-

What is a typical wedding like in your area? Indoors, outdoors, what type of foods are served, any unusual things that happen.....?

I've only been to 'standard' weddings. Nothing out of the ordinary or unusual. My DD's was in a big church with the reception at a lodge at the country club. Everything was beautiful and gorgeous - too bad it didn't last...

My best friend is getting married for the first time June 30, 2012. Her wedding will be outside at a very lovely, very sought after venue. She got lucky with an open date. The reception will be there also, catered by the facility.
