I grew up in Pittsburgh, and ate a lot of ethnic foods, but I don't know that any are truly Pittsburgh. Maybe the Primanti's sandwich (?) which includes your choice of meats and then coleslaw and fries on Italian bread.yummm.. And Isalay's Chipped Ham is the one thing I have my parents bring me when they visit.
Here in Lancaster, I would say Shoo Fly Pie and maybe Fastnachts, since next Tues is Fastnacht Day. They're pretty much glazed or powdered sugar donuts without the holes or filling. I've never seen pretzel rolls anywhere else, either. Picture a soft pretzel (no big holes, tho!) instead of a bun for a sandwich.
I've seen the Primanti's sandwich on the Travel channel--man, that looked good.
