I crochet occasionally. I used to sew a lot. Actually made my wedding dress and my sister's.

I enjoy receiving handmade gifts. Especially the baked variety!

Do you like making handmade items? Sewing, knitting, scrapbooking,...... And, do you like receiving them as well or do you prefer store bought gifts?

In general, I'm not too crafty. But, I do like to make cookies to share with family and friends, especially during the holidays. Any kind of gift is fine with me!

I agree with EeyoreEma....I'd probably try to take a picture (from inside) if it was an animal that you wouldn't normally see around your house. If it was big, like a bear, I'd also definitely be on the phone with animal control. We've recently seen a family of wild turkeys that strut around the neighborhood, which is pretty fun to watch.

Me too!

The most common form of wildlife around here are rabbits and coyotes but occasionally we see bobcats and hear rumors of mountain lions/pumas.

I think I would do the same as well, but would worry that the animal would get startled by me taking a picture.

We have wild birds around here as well.

1. Today is my daughter's last day of school, say if it was your last day of school, and your parent(s) say that it would be your choice of what type of homemade dinner mom/dad would make, what would you choose along with dessert?

2. Here in Hawaii, when there is a party, graduation.... people give each other leis. During these types of events, what do people give to each other to congratule the person?

When I was a child, I would have wanted my mom to make spaghetti for dinner and a spice cake for dessert.

We don't have an traditional gifts that we give here that I know of.

1 - I would have wanted stewed chicken and rice, even if it was hot out. Yummy. I don't really like dessert so that wouldn't have been an issue. Unless, say, someone happened to make a pan of brownies and then leave the whole thing near me....

2 - There's really no traditional gift for things like that here. When dd finished her last day of "preschool" this year, we let her go to the store and pick out a little toy. Usually it would have been a trip to the bookstore, but that's 45 mins away and dh was working that weekend.

If you were not feeling well, is there someone in your family that would take care of you, and do all of the housework, take care of the kids, cook the meals, do the laundry, and other chores that has to be done? Or, are you the person that everyone relies on, and you have no choice but to get out of bed?

No choice here. Dh works, both kids are little, no family in town. It all comes down to me.

I just wanted to say hello and see if anybody here remembers me? I know I have not been around in a VERY LONG TIME...but I wanted to get reacquainted with everyone...

I have missed you guys alot! It was always alot of fun to participate in the exchanges and games. I have been busy going to school trying to finish my teaching degree. (And of course I try to visit my nieghbor Disneyland when I can....)

We have a WDW trip planned for this Christmas/New Year! We are so excited because this time we are taking the FAMILY! (7 of us in all!) It is so much fun to see WDW all lit up at Christmastime!

Sadly another actor has passed on. Gary Coleman who was best known as Arnold in Different Strokes had died at the age of 42 due to health related problems.
