Today is a busy day, and instead of forgetting to post the QOTD late tonight, here it is for tomorrow.

If you were to pick a name from an Angel Tree, what gender, and age would you pick?

We give to the local food bank and the Salvation Army. I picked two children, a girl age 2 and a boy age 5 off of an angel tree plus a senior woman off the senior tree. I think that we will be giving money for a family in our Sunday School class too.

We also give to St. Jude and the DAV during the year. Also other charities or needy families as the need arises. We give a lot of our old clothes to a mental hospital.

I give to Toys for Tots, and try to buy generic. However if I really got what I want it would be girly-girly. But I try to stay with what any child may like.

I'd pick a girl aged 5 to 6. Traditionally donate food to food bank this time of year via the schools food drive.

I'd pick an elderly person for sure, I feel like they could use more cheer this time of year and probably get overlooked quite a bit. I'd take any gender

We usually pick a child from the children's shelter down the road. The first year we did a 2 year old boy and last year we did an 8 year old girl. We try to swap between boy/girl and my kids ages. This year, instead, due to money issues... ugh, we did 3 shoe boxes for operation Christmas child and we are getting presents for a friend's family, who are having a really tough year. So all 5 of her kids will get a little something from us this year.

For the angel tree i pick a young girl.

I have all kinds of wrapping paper.

I've got tons of it left over from a major shopping binge I did 3 years ago when they were clearing out wrapping paper at 5 cents a roll at my fav discount store after christmas. I've just finally used up the short rolls, and now can start working on the bigger rolls. So I don't care how much I use wrapping a gift, as I know that I've got tons left to work with. Now it's a matter of trying not to indulge in the after Christmas sales at my fav discount store and I'll be fine.

None at t he moment. I didn't pick any up after Christmas like I should have but I can get it pretty cheap at the dollar store.

I am a wrapping paper fanatic. I use a different paper for each present. I tend to have lots of metallic ones, ones with stars or stripes, a lot from Barnes and Noble (my favorite store) and I have a few with Disney Princess and Rudolph on them :) I'm a freak about paper :)

I love wrapping paper. Not sure why but I have tons of them. I prefer wrapping gifts rather then putting them into gift bags, but do both. :santa:

What few gifts I buy, get mailed. I order them from places who mail in holiday themed boxes. (Figi's, local fruit, flowers, etc.)
So very little wrapping for me, if any.
And I not a good wrapper. Looks very amateurish when I do it. So bags are good for me. ;)

For the midwesterners -- I use to buy at Von Maur, because wrapping and shipping were free. (LOVED it!)

My daughter is having a tennis Christmas celebration this afternoon, and with being sick, and still being tired from yesterday, I thought I would post the QOTD for tomorrow early.

So tomorrow's QOTD is a spin off from Luv2Roam's post. She mentioned that she sends fruits , and such as gifts. If you were to receive a gift of the month type present, meaning that each month you would receive a certain type of gift-fruits, cookies, steaks....what type of gift of the month club would you like to receive?

Figi's has a cheese of the month club I always thought would be nice. But I am too cheap. :rotfl2: For me I would just go to the cheese section where are nice varieties of cheeses. And really don't have anyone I would send a (whatever) of the month to anyway.

Free time!! :yay: Going to try to catch up a little anyway

What are your favorite baked goods or snacks that you look forward to for the holidays?

Cookies are a favorite anytime, but especially over Christmas. I do a lot of baking....not as much as I used to, but still plenty.
My favorite are pecan sandies and the good ole Toll House chocolate chip. Hot out of the oven.

So far this year I have made: gingersnaps, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cheesecake bars, lemon bars, chocolate cherry cookies, oatmeal cranberry cookies, mint Nanaimo bars, gingerbread cut outs, orangy cutouts.
Just have fudge, candy cane cookies, brownies and maybe chocolate chip to go.

With the holidays here, do you give to any charities, clubs.... for fundraisers or to those in need?

We give to a lot of charities all year long.....DAV, Red Cross, ALS, Diabetes, a couple breast cancer ones.
Holiday time is a couple names from the Salvation Army angel tree and a couple items for one of the families that DD's karate school adopts.

If you were to pick a name from an Angel Tree, what gender, and age would you pick?

We picked 2 this year....both girls....one 2 and one 9. We just try to pick someone with things they want that we can find.
We mix it up and it is different every year.

What type of wrapping paper do you have to wrap your gifts with this season?

A wide variety...I like cute ones. Snowmen, candy, Santa, animals. I buy after Christmas usually and way too much, so need to stay away from that section this year.
I probably have 30 rolls...and 2 of those are the super, super jumbo rolls from Costco.

I personally would want to receive See's candy or Popcornopolis popcorn every month. I would be in heaven. Yankee candles would be good too, but I have soooo many of those already.
I am doing a home made fudge of the month for DS this year. He loves fudge and I think he will really like it.
