Exchange xbox points in walmart?

Hi all, DS bought Xbox points in walmart the other night ad has just read the t&c which says can only be used in country of purchase does anyone know if this is true and if so will Walmart exchange them??

unfortunately this is true but as long as the packaging and the panal where you scratch to reveal the code have not been tampered with I can't see an issue with them exchanging or refunding it.
