Exchange rate

I have been keeping an eye on the dollar rate and it looks like its going up again. Anyone whos going in the near future may be worth watching to see how it goes
Travelex is 1.8729 today.

What about applying for a nationwide credit card, if you don't have one.

I used mine to purchase some Cirque du Soleil tickets, they converted at the official rate not the tourist rate, and didn't charge commission.

I couldn't believe it. I'm taking half spends in dollars and will use my credit card for the rest. Hopefully by June, I'll get $2.00. Here's dreaming.

I am moving to Orlando in April so am saving frantically as I know that the more I can earn here the better. As I will be earning dollars there then I wont be saving any just spending it as if the exchange rate stays the same there wont be any point bringing it back !

I have a colleague who talks constantly - basically a running commentary of everything she does. We're all pretty good at tuning out. One morning this week she was reading through her emails and whittering on (even more annoying as most of them I had received too and already read!). I'm "mmm-ing" and "yeah-ing" as usual, when she says, "Hmmm, US dollar's down to 1.72".

"WHAT?!" I shriek.

"Thought that would get your attention ", she says. She then spent the rest of the day regaling the story and the look on my face to anyone and everyone.

Hilarious.
