Exchange Dessert for Appetizer

Does anyone know if you can exchange a dessert of an appy if you are on the DDP. I would be willing to trade two desserts for one appy. There are 4 of us, and 4 desserts is a lot of calories.

Sadly, they do not allow that swap.

DW and I would gladly do the same. We much prefer the appetizers to the Desserts.

That is the main reason we may not do the DDP plan.

We can get an AAA rate ( 10% - 15% less than resort rack rate) and save some $$'s. I priced out what we we eat at CS & TS - and I came out to about the same or less for what we would pay for DDP.

4 adults = $160 (about)
Our days would average between $140 - $160
We eat breakfast in our room and sometime just do salad and a pizza for dinner ($40) (Picabu's at the Dolphin, BW pizza window, and I guess WDW resort's CS)

So the DDP may not work for us - and yes, we do not always do dessert, especially if we had Mickey ice bars and ices in the park during the day already.

I understand your other reasons but as an FYI - you can get the AAA rate on a package (same discount as room only) and add the dining plan. The only difference is you book through AAA (in person, by phone or online).

If you're worried about the calories, you can get a fresh fruit cup or a sorbet at pretty much all of the TS restaurants. That's usually what I get. You can also get sliced apples or a cup of grapes at the CS places.
