Do you know if there is a way (or something I can add to the macro) so that when I have option buttons in my worksheet I can choose that none of them are marked?? Right now, if I click one, it's marked, and if I choose another, it's marked instead, but I can't then click on that one to unmark it...... am I making any sense?? This is the first time I've used the option button - most of the time I use check boxes...... which of course work to check and uncheck.

By definition, an option button is used to select one option from a group of options. So one (and ONLY one) option must always be checked.

If using option buttons really makes sense in this case, you might make "none" one of the options, and make it the option chosen by default...

Thanks Kathy - unfortunately, they want to use this form electronically as well as in printed form, so when I print it out, one of the options is already chosen, and I want them to all be blank...... I guess I'll just have to make two versions - one with check boxes, and one with option buttons......

I want to use the option buttons on the electronic form so that they can't accidentally choose two of the options - do you have any suggestions on how I can accomplish both goals without making two forms and without a long drawn out macro - which I guess I can put together as well...... just trying to avoid a lot of work for something that may not come to fruition.

I see... Let me ponder that for a bit.

My first inclination is to make two separate forms, one for electronic use and one to use as a printed form...
