EWP group?

Hello everyone... I have had a very busy weekend so far. Friday night I got ambitious and bought a guitar so I could learn to play. I have always wanted to do that before but I never did so I got it and I am learning. It isn't too bad but my fingers are sore :( and that is even after I switched to Extra Light guage strings. They'll get tough soon though :D

My dad and I went through our house today and fixed some light switches & a leaky faucet. We now have a nice new ceiling fan & light where an old one was. It broke while trying to re-hook it back up to the light switch, so we have a nice new one :D I personally think it looks much better too.

Wow, I must be tired from all the physical stuff today so I think I am going to take a swim. Sometime soon I swear I will get to the wonderful things Rider sent me... but when I finally had time to watch it tonight, the Ohio State game came on so I couldn't even begin to THINK about putting it in the VCR and making Luis miss his game ;) I swear I will look tomorrow! Well I think it is off to the pool for a quick dip & relaxation. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

Hey!

Sorry that I haven't been able to check in, in a few days. Between running errands for my parents and our understaffed situation at work, I have been running around like crazy.

Great to hear from you, Webmaster CC!

Helenabear - that's so neat that you bought a guitar and are going to learn how to play! I'm sure that you will do a great job! I have thought about taking lessons of some sort (maybe dancing) - kind of like I did, when I was younger. I wish that I had more time and energy to do it. You'll have to keep us posted about how your lessons are going!

Don't you get a real feeling of satisfaction when you complete projects around the house, like the ones you were mentioning that you did over the weekend? I feel really good when we accomplish projects around the house (which we've been doing a lot of, since Frank moved in!). Of course, we have a ton more to do. But even getting things organized and in order makes me feel good! I'm sure that you have been doing a lot of things around your new house, since you moved in, too!

Please let me know what you think of the tape, when you have a chance to watch it! (Don't rush to watch it, though - I'm getting nervous about what you'll think of my photography - hee hee!)

UGH - time to get back to work, now.

Have a great day! :)

STILL haven't read any posts. I hope all of you are well. Our new puppy is keeping me away from the computer as the computer area is my cats "place" and the puppy isn't allowed in here. I have to go to Dana Farber Cancer Institute for an evaluation, keep the PD coming my way. I am only in beginning stages of the C word so things should go well. Just another obstacle in life.

Take care all of you, and maybe tonight I'll come by and enjoy the view and read a little.
Wendy:)

Jstmee, I am sending you tons of PD your way. I am sure it might be tough but remember you have people around you who care. Do your best to listen to what the doctors say and if you don't like what they say to you, go to another doctor!

Rider, I am planning on watching the video tonight. I really hope I get the chance to see it as I can't wait to go back to WDW again ;)

I do get such a pleasure out of finishing projects. As much work as it was, I am so glad that we have the new fan up there. We have done a few minor things, and I love knowing that I can change things on a whim and know that I am changing something that is mine.

I am truly enjoying the guitar playing. I always enjoy learning new instruments. My fingers are already beginning to harden to the strings and I am working on my hand strength. I don't know how good I will get at it but I enjoy it a lot already.

Well I hope everyone is doing well. Cathy I am so glad you came in for a visit and I look forward to hearing from everyone and seeing them here in our wonderful suite.

Lots of PD to you, Jstmee! Everything will be all right! Just know that we are always here, if you're in the mood to talk, vent, laugh, or anything else! And we're thinking of you! I know - let's all meet in the Suite, tonight, and Helenabear can serenade us and entertain us with her new guitar! :)

I'd be glad to meet you all in the suite, but are you really sure you want me to serenade you ;)

Can you play a polka helenabear? We can all polka around the jacuzzi and then jump in. My appointment is set for Dana Farber. So, all I need to do is wait, heee heee. It's in two weeks. later......

Here's to hoping SG is enjoying her vacation.

Polka???? You know that is not something I know how to do (thank goodness ;)) I hope you all have a great evening!

OK, then, maybe you can play something nice and relaxing, and we can all sit in the jacuzzi and have our gentleman "assistants" massage our necks and shoulders and feed us grapes! Ooh - the EWP should be going by the Contemporary, right about now......I wonder if SG is there watching it??? No, my prediction is that she will be at the Poly dock on the 9th at around 9:15PM! Boy, I wish that we were all there with her!

I know that the waiting is probably the hardest part, Jstmee, but try not to worry about anything. I'm sure that you feel much better just knowing that you've made the appointment, and you'll feel even better with more information. Hang in there and think happy thoughts! :) Like the fact that Kas and Bo are approaching with a tray of hot chocolate for us! (you know how cold that air conditioning in the Suite can get, sometimes!)

Have a good night - see you tomorrow! :)

Evening all, I'm enjoying the grapes and the jacuzzi right now. All my DC are asleep and the cat is out for the evening, but it's a warmer night, and the puppy is asleep also. She sleeps in her little cubby, and she likes it and makes it through the night, thankfully.

Ok, here's more details of my situation, last year I had a hemorroid removed. The pathology report came back with malignant cells. We thought everything was fine and I just went for the recheck this year and the cells came back bad again, with some other stuff. So, the area is, shall we say a "pain" in the ***. That's why I'm going to Dana Farber. When I went to the Doctor today, he said my case was brought up at a hospital meeting and discussed. -
So girls, I am now a celebrity, or I should say at least my behind is a celebrity. My Doc, recommended Dana Farber because I am looking at between 2-9 biopsy's and if the surgeon isn't careful, there may be scarring that would prevent me from doing you know what.

It's funny that with all the publicity about breast cancer, this type of cancer is very rare and hard to find, and read up about and I guess more embarrassing. I believe I need to share about it, because #1, it could warn others and two, obviously reduce some stress on my part.

Thank you heleabear and Rider for being here for me.

It's 11:02 pm, I think Slightly Goofy is tucked in for the evening and getting rested for her next day. I'll guess it will be at Animal Kingdom.

Goodnight. Wendy

Hi Wendy!

Thanks so much for sharing your situation with us. It must have been very frightening to have a hemmoroid removed, just to find malignant cells. And then to have to go through these biopsies - I'm sorry that you're going through all of this. But it sounds like you have a great facility with many specialists who are helping and treating you, and even though I'm sure that it's very painful and upsetting, you're definitely doing the right thing by having it taken care of. It sounds like you were very quick in identifying the issue and seeking treatment and more information. I'm sure that everything will be fine. But I know that waiting and wondering are very hard, as well. We're always here, if you need to talk! :) I wish that there was something more intelligent that I could say! But we're here to listen! :)

Wasn't Helenabear's performance great, last night? She is really picking up guitar playing quickly! I heard the "boys" saying that they hope that she gives a repeat performance, tonight!

Yes, I wonder if SG is at the AK right now......maybe she's on a Kilimanjaro Safari! And maybe she will have lunch or dinner at Boma's at the AK Lodge!

Have a great day! :)

Hellooooooooo...................

Where is everybody???? :(

I've been sitting here in the Suite, by myself, and I'm getting lonely! :(

Have a nice day! :)

Ladies!

Don't forget - pop in your EWP tapes at 9:00 PM EST, tonight, so that we can "virtually watch" the EWP with SG! :)

Have a great weekend! :)

Hi, Rider, I'm back! We've had phone line problems for several weeks and I haven't been able to keep up with the boards. Is SG at WDW now?

Sorry I was just about to post earlier today when I got swamped at work. And of course as soon as I got home I was busy cleaning because I am watching a couple of boys tomorrow for some friends. So here I am now waiting for the EWP and ready to watch. Sorry you were lonely Rider, but I am here now ;)

Angelina, great to see you back! You were certainly missed. Yes, SG is at WDW right now just about to join us to watch the EWP. So please join us... in a few minutes it is about to begin!

Hi, Helenabear. How are things in the new house? I hope everything is going well for you. I'll bet SG is having a terrific time right about now. I go to sleep almost every night thinking about our vacation in WDW--the memories have pulled me out of the blues many times. If I was at Disney now, I would love to be watching the fireworks from Splash Mountain--it seems like they go off right overhead, and it's not at all crowded. I just read on another thread that PO-FQ and Riverside are either closed or closing soon. How sad. Our first vacation with our two oldest dc's was spent at Dixie Landings over Easter- I cannot imagine a more perfect week. Everything was just lovely. I'll never forget the piles and piles of candy thrown everywhere at the resort for the Easter Egg Hunt that morning!

Hi Helenabear!!

Great to "see" you! I hope that you were able to join in the "virtual EWP viewing" last night! Frank and I watched it standing up - just as if we were standing on the Poly dock, watching it! (Corny, I know, right? Hee hee!) I have also been swamped at work - UGH. In addition, I've been having a few "issues", ie: moving to another floor of our building - offices for everyone at my level except me - and I'm the senior person in the group; new legal consultant working with us - male chauvinist pig - humiliated my female colleagues and myself at a meeting with our senior management, by referring to our communication with one another as "whispering and chattering", etc. So many times this past week, I've almost "lost it". I'm now on a crusade to make everything "fair". Not easy, since my boss has been out on medical leave for the past 2.5 months. Very frustrating. Enough of that! How's the guitar playing coming along? Any interesting weekend plans?

Hi Angelina!!!!

Great to hear from you - welcome back! How have you been? What's been new? I wish that we were all at WDW with SG, too! My WDW memories have brought me out of the blues many times, as well. In fact, WDW is the first thing that I think of when I'm feeling down - that always cheers me up!

Well, now that we're all here, how about we head over to Typhoon Lagoon for a trip around the lazy river, followed by a swim in the wave pool???

Have a great weekend, friends! :)

Just popping in after baby sitting for an 8 & 10 year old boys today for a friend of mine. So I am a little tired and ready to relax. I watched the EWP sitting down on the ground like I would have imagined myself doing if I had actually been in Florida. I had a wonderful view and the EWP was wonderful (as was the rest of the tape... thank you Rider). Well my fingers hurt from the Sega game playing I had to do today ;) so I will sign off for now and head over to the jacuzzi. I will join again later and will be more talkative probably tomorrow :D

Good morning, everyone. Today is absolutely beautiful. I think I am going to spend it under a shade tree at Liberty Square and watch people go by and listen to the riverboat and WDW railroad bells and whistles as they go around. It just seems to be a day to relax.

Yesterday we drove to Pensacola Beach and watched the Blue Angels air show. If you ever get a chance to watch the Angels fly, don't miss it. We try to go whenever they perform, which is usually twice a year in Pensacola. It is an incredible performance. It really, truly will make you proud to be American.

Well, I have to go for now. Today is my mother's birthday, and dinner is at my house this afternoon, which means I have a lot of straightening up todo. Have a great day!

Hi!

Helenabear - oh good - I'm glad that the tape was all right! Sounds like you had your hands full with your friend's children! I'm sure it was fun, though! Did Luis join in on the Sega festivities? How was the rest of your weekend?

Angelina - hope that your Mother's birthday dinner was wonderful - I'm sure that it was! And it sounds like the Blue Angels performance was great! I'm glad that you had a nice time!

Our weekend was spent waiting around for the cable people (for the third time!) come and install a new cable outlet in one of our bedrooms.....and for the third time, they sent the WRONG kind of technician to do it! UGH! Another wasted Saturday! So we ran out last night to console ourselves, and went to see "Monsters, Inc." It was adorable! Lots of cute monsters! And the animation was amazing. It wasn't quite as good as the "Toy Story" films, but it was very funny and entertaining! Just caught up on things around the house, today.

Hope that all is well with you both! Have a good night! :)
