wondering if u use it and for what

thanks

My children are bi-racial and have what is considered "ethnic" hair, course and dry. I use heated olive oil as a deep conditioning treatment about once a month. I also mix it with their conditioner in a spray bottle for everyday use.

I am pregnant and was on the search for a more natural facial cleanser and came across this:

theoilcleansingmethod.com

I have been using the EVOO as a face wash/moisterizer and have not had any breakouts since.

I have a friend who swears by it for every beauty use known to mankind, but I find it heavy and sticky. And I smell like a salad.

On the other hand, I give myself vaseline facials, so there is that.

I use nothing but EVOO as my eye makeup remover. I also use it as a hair moisturizer and cuticle oil.

I haven't tried EVOO but did start using coconut oil for my moisturizer about four months ago and my breakouts are not nearly as bad as they had been, plus it moisturizes great. Does not make me smell like a pina colada. The coconut scent wears off fairly quickly.

do u use just the olive oil or the combo?

i think i'm going to try this - also do u stop using moisturizer?

We use Olive oil or Coconut oil ( I LOVE the smell of the extra virgin Organic coconut oil)...obviously EVOO is less expensive, and it is great..the smell goes away in a few minutes.

I mix the EVOO with the castor oil and use it every other night. I do still sometimes use Olay moisturizer but not every day. The article just made a lot of sense to me.

Along the same lines, I stopped using shampoo on my hair. The sulfate really dries my hair out. I use a light conditioner to 'wash' my hair and then a heavy conditioner that I don't rinse out all the way. Once a week or so I wash with baking soda to remove any build up of product.

I use coconut oil several times a week to condition my dry skin. Also, once or twice a month my sister deep conditions her hair with about 1tbsp mayo mixed with EVO. I think she leaves on about 30 minutes and then shampoos out with gentle shampoo.

I used EVOO as makeup remover, moisturizer for my skin and face, and as a conditioner for my hair. My mom uses it to help moisturize her nails/cuticles.

Me too ~ I combine water and b s in a large plastic bowl, place a towel on my toilet lid/seat and the bowl on top of that, kneel down and place my hair/head in the bowl - scrub, hop in the shower and rinse it out. I'm gonna look in to the EVOO thing.

I've been using baby oil for years. Can you tell me why I shouldn't be? Not I'm scared. :scared1:

We use olive oil mixed with kosher salt as an abrasive scrub on hands, feet, elbows. Also very good for conditioning the nails.

I purchased the Organic EVOO from Trader Joe's! I used it last night as a moisturizer - will start using it as a makeup remover - much cheaper and seems like its good for the skin around the eyes. I will try using it as a facewash as well - i've read mostly good things but some bad breakouts as well - i'll ease my way in..
