:rotfl: :rotfl: Yep, us Native Floridians are NOT used to cold weather.....I can take about 4 days of it, but it starts to wear thin after that! Right now its 75 degrees and sunny:sunny: ;)

I've lived in MA my whole life. I wanna get out of here!!! Currently, at 4 p.m., it's 8. Well I guess that's better then the 0 it was when I got up this morning.

It was -10 when i left for school this morning, just before 7 am. Coming home at 2:30, it was +5, in the warmest place, +3 at home. Today was the first day all winter I've worn gloves, except for shoveling and skiing. This is chilly, but it's nothing compared to where my grandparents are in northern NH. Was -35 at their house this morning. I've been cross-country skiing in -20 windchills and won't change my habits. Cold air is a pain, but I love the winter, love the snow. With global warming I may have to move to Canada but i'm a snow-girl for life. Yes I'm one of those nuts people see in shorts at 60 degrees. I'm also the last to put on a heavy jacket and gloves in my house. It's a pain but I'm used to it. Can't imagine ever living in Florida. I can hardly handle the rare "heat wave days". And yes, in New England that is 3 days of 90+.

talked to my E-ILs today....the temp at their house in the great north woods was

MINUS 40

not even factoring in a wind chill....brrrrrrrrrrrr...

I'm trying to get to Florida. Lived 11 years in Boston --too cold. 8 years on Long Island --still too cold. 10 years in Pennsylvania --still pretty cold. Now I live in Virginia better, but not warm enough. Anyone got a job for me in Florida? I can be ready to move tomorrow.:wave2:

it gets cold in some parts of florida too. not THAT cold but still cold to us. it is currently only 42 degrees outside. and yes, we have on winter coats or very warm sweaters.

Well it is going to be a fun time in New England today.... That Pats play tonight at 8:30.... Still trying to get a ticket....

Now that might require a jacket.... Game time temp is going to be around 0 or below.

someone told me kickoff is supposed to be +8, dropping steadily...definitely sounds like possible jacket weather...have also heard that for the first time in a long time they will be allowing sleeping bags and blankets into the stadium...probably for the tennessee fans

Not to make you guys jealous or anything, but here in South FL this morning, it is 64 degrees. :teeth:

My toes are COLD on my tile floor! But barefoot is the only way to go! :) I have my slider open and the floor fan going full speed to bring that gorgeous air in. Think I'll wear my jeans and a turtleneck today. ;) I lived in NJ 29 years and will NEVER go back to the northeast. The farthest north I'm going is Virginia! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

It's soooo crazy!! My hands gets dry...my lips crack...my face gets dry too...and this is not good trying to keep looking young! I lived in Michigan most of my life. This is where I grew up before moving from the PI (Philippines). As I grew older...the more I begin to hate winter.

I've been wanting to move to Orlando and so now, I finally decided I will do it!! No more bundling and putting layers and layers of clothes. No more scraping ice and snow off the car. No more shoveling. No more accidents due to dangerous icy slashy road. No more getting stuck in the house cause it's freegin' cold outside. Besdies, I look better in shorts and tank top!! ;)

Hey, Figment! We may be able to work something out! I want to get to VA...you take my house, I'll take yours. Are you near Hampton Roads? :teeth: And do you know of a decent office job? ;)

You are too right . I live in Georgia and I am a wimp in the cold. I hav enever felt anything less than probably10 degrees. Let it hit 50 and I am in a jacket immediately but....I can take 100 degrees with high humidity like nobodys business. I was doing security at the Olympics in Atlanta. We had several Nat. Guard units here from up north. They nearly died. It was not that bad for summer in Georgia. Summer in Georgia is like Africa hot. At least I can put on a coat for the cold. You can only takje off so many clothes before either you're pride or the local ordinances get in the way. You may laugh but when heat stroke hits you it ain't funny. I can always add layers of clothes with no problem for the cold.

HeyPin Wizard-
I'll trade houses with you any time but you don't want to live in this part of Virginia! Do you have a job for a computer programmer in Fla? DH will work cheap if he can be near the beach! :wave2:

In what part of Virginia? I'm sure we can arrange a job for a computer programmer. Of course, he won't make nearly the money he does up there!
