Everything you need to know about WDW Christmas- Tips & Secrets

Hey everyone! I just found this thread and I have already gotten so much info!!! This will be our first time going to DW during the Christmas holidays and we are so excited!!! We will be there 12/11-12/15 staying at POR!! We are going to MVMCP, does anyone know if you can take photopass pics with Santa?

p.s.
I love all the ideas for decorating the room!!!

I don't know about MVCMP but I do know that I have see photopass photographers with Santa and Mrs. Claus in America in Epcot.:thumbsup2 Nice little set up there!

I've also seen photopass pictures from a friend with Santa at Downtown Disney.

I usually watch it on the HGTV.com site, but it is also posted on youtube at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxaEtS4FwwM

In my US arrogance, I assumed all internet was created equal. :confused3
Good Luck viewing.

Hmmm, I wonder if those episodes will feature an amazing behind the scenes look at how the Walt Disney Resort decorates for the holidays? ;)

Hi all,

Just wanted to add a little Christmas spirit here to my Massachusetts Brethren and Sister-en. The local radio stations (Oldies 103.3 and WROR 105.7) have switched their format to the Christmas music.

:santa:

Merry Christmas

So looking forward to seeing all the decorations at WDW. I think my house needs the same stuff. Big trees, etc. HA! Just kidding.

Cheers!
Donna/Michael

Hi All!

So, what is the Yule Tour? Anyone?

Can't wait for Christmas AT Disney this year!!!! Planning meals, and lots of places still have openings (we're not into Le Cellier, ate there once, it was just meh, but some good places still have lots of openings).

Yippee - going Dec 17 to 26 (not staying on site, but been enough times and got a good deal on a nearby condo).

ACK! It is not even Thanksgiving yet!!!
Way too early for Christmas music.

My complaint about the radio stations is that they start the Christmas/holiday music so early that you are sick of it by December 23. Or, if you are enjoying the seasonal music, they drop it too soon on the 25th.

By the religious calendar (Christmas is a religious holiday, after all) the Christmas season is from December 25 until January 6, twelfth night.

It is never too early for Christmas for me! Hallmark TVchannel is running back to back Christmas movies. The DVR is working overtime, so I can fast forward commercials.:thumbsup2 I am such a sap.

20 Days left!

I partially agree. It is never too early for Christmas music (I love Straight No Chaser, T.S.O. and Nat King Cole). But how can you fast fwd thru the commercials? They add their own little atmosphere to the season. PLUS... I enjoy digging out some of the specials I video taped way back when, and taking in the commecials of the period. Why doesn't Santa go sledding around in an electric razor any more?

As for the movies, I'm just biding my time until ABC Family starts their 25 Days of Christmas and I get to watch all of the old school Rankin & Bass specials.

I don't have touring plans, but could someone tell me what the crowd levels are for the parks on nov.30-dec.4, and how the rating system works? I have a plan of which parks I want to visit on each days but want to see how it compares with the crowd calendar.

I'll be at mvmcp on the 30th too!! :santa:

That's odd, I just checked about a weeks worth of HGTV programming and I didn't see this listed at all. I'm in Canada, do you think they have different programming for the US and Canada? :confused3
