Everything you need to know about WDW Christmas- Tips & Secrets

Honestly I did MVMCP and I won't do it again...It was nicer a few years back.Back then they limited the amount of tix( making it feel like a party),you got a free 5x7 picture, and a collectable party pin as well as the parade, wishes, dance parties, shows ,cookie and cocoa. They raised the price, added more tix , so most nights are quite busy ,and cut the pin and the photo..It just isn't worth it anymore.

When can we expect more information regarding the Candlelight Processional dinner package to be released?

For Xmas day we are avoiding the parks. We are going to play miniature golf, have dinner at the WL (love the lodge) and then go to La Nouba.:woohoo: No stress day.:dance3:

Yes we have booked La Nouba for Christmas Day also. In the morning we are considering 'ICE' at gaylord palms and maybe christmas day brunch there. Then onto DTD for a look round shops and then La Nouba - see you there!!

We will be there also for a pre-Christmas celebration!! December 11th (my bday:yay:)- Dec 16th!! This is our fourth year straight that we have been to World during the Christmas season. My favorite thing is being surrounded not only by Disney, but also by Christmas. Christmas music is all around! It is truly magical!:santa:

my 6 year old daughter wants to know if that picture in your siggie is from tower of terror? its her favorite ride. i was thinking about buying a copy of one of her in it for her christmas present....how much are they?

Yes, that picture in my siggie is of the ToT. But....it's not me, it's the cast of LOST, the tv show. They are my favorite. :woohoo:
But I do know that you can buy a souvenier picture of your ride on the ToT. I believe it costs around $13-$15.

Good luck!

Do you have any photos of Santa or any other Christmas pics??? Maybe an old trip report. Thanks.

I hate to post this question again, but I'm so confused. :confused3

Can anyone 100% confirm that Thursday, Dec.3rd is a MVMCP night?

It isn't listed on Allears, but maybe it's an error.

Someone posted awhile back that (last year ?) they ordered tickets for the party, but when they received them they were for the wrong night...and a night that there wasn't even a party! It was a big hassle b/c they went to re-order, it was sold-out.

I'm nervous and just don't want this to happen with the 3rd.

i have already purchased party tickets for the 3rd

here's two of the santa i will have to get more off my other computer ..

But he's there every year and he's the best santa i have ever seen my whole life and my kids call him the real santa....
if you ask my kids where can you find santa they say he can only be found in one of two places north pole or downtown disney :thumbsup2

its nice to have them grow up seeing the same santa every year!!!

Okay, give us some background...who's goin...big kids, little kids, older people, all adults.? My 2 parks as far as decor are MK and Epcot..World Showcase. Do you mean 2 days with a park per day, or 2 parks in one day? I would recommend the MVMCP if you are gonna be there for the entire day and into the night..if not, MK will close at 7 pm. I love looking at the different countries decor..it's sooo pretty. Then the Candlelight thing at Epcot is supposed to be awesome..we are trying to get that in our trip too. But, the Osborne lights at Hollywood studios are pretty amazing. Geez, You said 2..I am not helping!! HA!!!! I think you can see the Osborne lights on YouTube..if it doesn't grab you.. skip it and do Epcot. Ithink that's my vote...MK and Epcot. Tell us more!!!

I need help too! We are surprising our teenagers with a WDW trip after our cruise. We will probably try and go for 3 days and purchase the non-parkhopper passes (saving a few dollars). Kids are 18,16,15, 13 - PLEASE help me by telling me which parks to go to and which order.

I guess something to keep in mind....I'm a former CSM at DL and my kids have gone to DL a lot. They are seasoned travelers, so moving fast is our style.

Thanks a million!

As for Christmas Day...we have been down only 2 times on Christmas Day. If you are planning to do MK, get there before 8:00 am as the park will close around noon or later. The only guests to get in is the families that stay at a Disney resort. We did the last seating for breakfast at Chef Mickey's and remember the MK lot almost filled at 11:30 am. QUOTE]

This is the first that I've heard of this. So...if you don't stay at a Disney resort, you cannot enter after noon? What if you are there before noon? Or, do they just not let ANYONE in the park unless you are a resort guest?

Also, the special dinner at CP, can you book that if you are not a resort guest?

TIA

Christmas is so crowded that the parks close to the public on Christmas day...they have a tiered system of closings where first they close to off-site guests first, then resort guests. The PP is just pointing out that at some point, you likely won't be able to get in, and there is no predicting when that will be. I have no experience with this myself.

The CP dinner package can be booked by anyone...again, you have to make sure you can get into the park though. They will NOT let you into a closed park just because you have a dinner reservation. For info on CP and the dinner package...look here:

No one knows. As of now , every CM I have spoken to( and I have been calling weekly ...sometimes multiple times)has said that the CP dining pkgs will be like any other adr and will be able to be booked at your 90 day mark.I imagine we should know something real soon, since the end of this month is when the first 90 day adr mark for that time period starts

There are phases of closing. Once the parks hit a Phase 4 closing...NO ONE gets into that park. Not resort guests, AP holders, DVC owners, or people with dining adrs...They can not override a phase 4 since it is a fire code thing , not a Disney rule.As for CP dinner pkgs, anyone can book them.

if you go to the first show at CP, What time will the dinner package be? If the first show is at 5 what time do they tell you, the dinning time? Thank you

You must dine before your show and the 5pm Show is considered a lunch, and seatings vary from about 200p onward. They will give you the time slot when you choose your show.

So it's not like they kick anyone out, they just don't let any additional in.
