Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Meal Vouchers

I agree completely that using a voucher for each person is too much food and it eliminates the cost-saving factor as well. They really work the best when you can get something like a double cheeseburger and purchase an extra bun. Then you share the drink, side, and dessert. That was our intention, however the biggest problem we had was our two kids agreeing on the same entree. Now, that was a nightmare!!!

How much did you save using the voucher at Rosies....is it worth it to use it there?

I only saved about $1 or $2 when I used the ouchers. I just used the vouchers as a way of prepaying our meals. I wasn't really looking to save lots of money.

My son LOVES chicken fingers, (I hate them) so sharing really isn't a option for us. By the time we ate the burger and chicken fingers, we were to full for most of the fries or salads, and the desserts. There were times we couldn't even finish the drinks.

In the future I think I'll let my son order using the vouchers, I'll order a burger or something. Then we'll just share his fries, soda, and dessert. Each place we used the vouchers at allowed to get large drinks.

Are Q&Cs honored at the Pop Century Food Court?

And if so, is it a good deal to use them there?

I'll be there in less than 24 hours :) :Pinkbounc :bounce:  :hyper:

yes,,,,they were a very good deal for us, averaging about $5-8 savings per adult voucher. they allowed my husband to get an additional side with his burger and fries. I got the shrimp lomein and a side( salad if I recall but you could pick what ever you wanted from their"sides" menu) plus the dessert and beverage....and the food was good also.

How's the kids VKL? I have an 3y/o. I am thinking to get one for him. But we have 4 adults. So we'll use 2 VKL + 1 kid VKL. Not sure if it will be too much for us. We don't eat a lot usually.

not having little kids I haven't used the kid's vouchers personally but there is lots of info on them earlier in this tread...from what I recall, most did not think them worthwhile as you had to order from the kids menus and some places would not allow you to order an adult appe. with them even though they did not offer a kid's appe...so basically you got an entree from the kid'smenu, drink and kid's dessert ( if available) for the price...no savings. if your 3 year old eats enough you might be better using 2 adults and just buying a kid's entree... we split 1 adult( 2 adults) but if your 3 year old can finish something like a happy meal himself, you wouldn't have enough food for him (except at RFC) using just 2 vouchers for 4 1/2 people imo

I don't think I've seen this posted yet.

This is from a note included in my order from Hotwire that I received today:

"Effective April 20, 2004, items purchased are non-refundable; they may not be exchanged or returned for cash, credit, or check."

Thanks angel's momma -- That's good to know!!!

I tried to find MWI's Website and the first thing that came up on the search was pretty SCARY!

Then I found other sites-

It appears many, many people have been getting unauthorized charges to their credit cards from this company. After reading some of these horror stories, I'm a little leary to sign up. The DIS is the only site out there with Possitive things to say about MWI

Does anyone know if you get a confirmation email from Connections when an order is placed?

Just in case your problem persisted, I have found the site works much better in Explorer than in Netscape or Motzilla. It seems like it is working but never authenticates.

No you don't get email confirmations for orders from any dealpass programs such as Connections, Hotwire Savings Club, Homeworks Plus, etc etc.

I originally found out about dealpass programs from posts on fatwallet.com (hotdeals forum). Most of the experiences posted there are positive. No problems so far on my end, fingers crossed.

I recently purchased 4 VKL certs for an upcoming trip for two adults in November. I know will use one at RFC and one ot the Brown Derby. We are going during the Epcot food and wine festival so I don't think we will be doing any sit downs at Epcot and I'm not intending to go to MK this time. Any advice on some places to try where the other vouchers will be a good value.

Thanks

Autumn

Even the basic hamburgers come with fries or carrots, does that mean an extra side isn't optional?

Von, I think most times the fries that come with the burgers do count as your side. A lot of times it depends on who is taking your order and how they interpret the voucher though.

If you don't want the fries you can ask for a substitution if there are other sides avaliable. That is also true with out the vouchers, you can ask for JUST a burger if you want and it will be less than the w/fries price on the menu (unless this has chanhed since last July).

Does the frozen coca cola cooler count as a dessert if you use q&c voucher?
