To book with my Visa, I would call the CRO and ask for the Z code? And then I just need to put the $200 deposit on my Visa? Thanks Melissa

Yeah that sounds about right. I'd take a moment and explain that you understand that Disney Visa holders can book Free Dining etc. :D

You must purchase a package that includes at least a one day base-ticket for each person staying in the room. All persons in the room must purchase the same level of ticket. (These can be upgraded separately after you check in if you wish)

Are we sure this is possible?? I'm thinking of saying that my 2 y/o is 3 so that I can get her on the dining plan. I figure why pay for her meals if I don't have to. Mostly I'll just order milk but some of the fancier resturants I don't think she'll like what we're eating..

I know we'll go back again so I don't mind buying a one day pass and holding onto it for later use.
When we get there I'd like to change my dh and I to a 9 day pass and leave hers at a 1 day.

Do you think there will be any problems with this??

All people in the same room must be on the same package. I believe this includes the same number of days on their tickets. So I'm sorry, I don't think that will work.

You can upgrade the tickets to different lengths upon arrival and check-in.

I just questioned if the 2.5 year old will eat 56$ worth of food (the price of a one day base ticket)

Does anyone know the max number of days for the package? Melissa

Don't get her a ticket. There is really no reason to. We went with our daughter last year when she was 2 y/o (she's 3 now) and we did not have to pay for any food. Under 3's eat free at the character buffets anyway and at the other table services restaurants we ordered milk for her and she either ate off our our plates or we got a kids meal for her. Unless they change their policy they didn't even charge us for the milk and kid's meals (even after we asked if we could pay for them!!!) I can't remember what we did at the counter service meals-but it seems that it wasn't a big deal since she was so little. More often than not she shared our meals it seems. You can always ask the CSR when you book too!

Thanks CandianGuy! Is this promo usually exclusive to calling in, or can you book online too?

Thanks,

Denise

Last year the offer was available on the www.disneyworld.com website. You have to click on special offers and the free dining promo (for general public) was there. I would assume it will be there on the website on Thursday.

Good luck!

as far as booking online, I wouldnt recommend it. I usually have a hard time getting anything done on the Disney site. At least when you talk to a CM you know things are getting handled correctly for the most part.

That's strange because I have had exactly the opposite experience. I like booking online because I see exactly what I have booked and have it in writing before I pay. With CRO, they always add insurance even when I ask them not to, so I have to call back and get it taken off. I guess I am a control freak, but I also have never had a problem booking online.

Canadian Guy. When did you get that 40% off room only discount code in your email? Does disney ever send random people discount codes even after they've booked a trip with disney? I wouldn't see why but perhaps they don't check to see if that person already booked before getting the discount code. I'm praying to get that code but AAA is better than nothing. I look forward to your response since you know lots about disney:)!

The 40% off code was emailed to me on January 22nd and while we were already thinking of a trip.. we hadn't yet booked. Others who received the code HAD already booked. It's a toss up.

THAT code expired on March 15th for new bookings. But you never knew when they'll send out new ones.

You can not use DVC points to book a room and get free dining. Members can use their points and book the dining.

Just to add. The member must book the dining plan, not a renter. The member is able to book it for you though. I believe it is $38.99 per adult and $11.98 for children under 10 per day. It is still a great deal, IMO.

I believe that the cancellation policy is very different online vs. calling in. Regularly there are differences. And calling in is better in this regard normally. I'm unsure if the cancellation is different with "free dining" or packages for that matter. But I would check it out just in case.

I am so excited! We are planning on visiting WDW during Labor Day week. (One less vacation day for my DH to take). I will be calling in bright and early on the 12th!

I'm getting nervous! I want to make reservations Thursday for the free dining package... but I haven't made flight res. yet. I usually fly via southwest adn their dates only go to 8/24, so I don't know what will be the best days to fly with the best rates...

anyways, my question is this... :confused3 if I make res on thursday, and then later find a different day would work better flying, will I be able to change the dates a little or am I fixed to whatever I get on thursday?

I think I'm just getting over excited and anxious... :yay: hopefully about nothing!

Of course part of my anxiety is that I haven't even gotten the 'ok' from hubby to do it yet!! but with a deal like these - how can I not!!:goodvibes

you can tweak your ressie after you've made it assuming they still have the correct availability for the dates you're switching to... i have read that you are best served by choosing the widest set of dates and narrowing it down once you have booked your airfare, rather than selecting the exact amount of nights you want and having to change to a night you do not have reserved... in other words, it's easier to remove a night than it is to add one (just because of availability concerns) :)

Quick question...to save myself from harrassing CRO again!

I modified my existing ressie yesterday to include the free dining. As of this morning, the free dining portion is STILL not showing up online when I query my ressie #. All that's showing are my dates, my ticket info, my resort info, my magic express info, the package price, and my deposit. But the Visa promo info is nowhere. When I spoke to CRO yesterday, they said it would be available online today.

I'm not (totally) in a panic about it, as my DSis's ressie is showing the same way for her trip - just curious if anyone else has looked online to confirm theirs. Thanks!
