Is this just for Magic Kingdom … meaning I can’t get a VQ for TRON and Tiana’s at the same time?
Last year I was able to get a VQ for TRON then quickly switch my park reservation and get a VQ for GOTG. Now with no park reservations, has this loop hole been closed?
I know this isn’t what you asked but, it is possible to get (an early) BG for Tron, ride it, and then hop to Epcot and get a BG for Guardians. I wasn’t able to test if I could hold both VQs at the same time after park hopping because we got such a small group number for Tron that we had to ride it. (This is from May 2024.)

You can only hold one VQ at a time. Guests have tried to secure a second VQ and the system does not allow this to happen until the first one has been used.

That is interesting. Disney has made a conscious decision to no longer allow guests to hold a VQ for both anymore. I wonder why, since it previously allowed us to have both Tron and Guardians VQs at the same time, plus I have held simultaneous VQs (for a ride plus Journey of Water, or AP magnet pick up at Disney Springs, and I’m pretty sure I was eligible to sign up for the Santa meet).

I assume the 6pm VQ drop for deluxe evening hours is unchanged (as in two VQs still allowed)? As in I could have an unused VQ for Tron but still pick up the deluxe Guardians queue at 6pm?

Has there been reports of what happens if your BG for Guardians is expired? Is that considered no longer a VQ, so you could pick up Tron at 1pm?

Thank you for this. I should have been a bit clearer.

Disney has stopped allowing guests to hold two attraction VQs at the same time. This change took place in January.

Yesterday a guest secured one (I believe for TBA) and then tried to secure Tron but was not eligible.

You can still hold an attraction VQ plus another VQ (such as AP magnet) at the same time.

Your question about holding an expired GotG then trying for another VQ in MK is a good one. We have not had anyone report trying that but it would be great information to know.

Another question we have is, how strict are they about TBA VQ return times? That is unknown at this time too.

Thanks. I’ll be there in 3 weeks or so and may try out a few combinations! Will report back if I learn anything of interest.

I was able to get a vq for Tiana it’s early I’m not even there yet for group 16 arrival time 9:55 am I hope this let me on as I see there’s a lot of traffic now on my way

Hope you’re able to ride. Please share your experience here re:ability to ride if you’re late for your BG.

I asked a cm at TBA if you need to stick to your VQ time. The answer was yes. I asked about dining conflicting with VQ and was told that’s up to the cm but proof of dining would be helpful. I’ll update the first post soon.

What if the ride breaks down? You should at least have the option to cancel your first VQ. I wonder if you could go to GET and cancel and then try in the second park if park hopping.

Good question. I believe you should be able to, especially if a ride is not currently loading but, I honestly don't know as I do not have a VQ on my MDE to see if canceling is an option.

If this scenario happens, I would recommend (until someone shares a personal experience here) that a guest visit a blue Guest Experience Team umbrella to ask about cancelling their first VQ in order to open the ability to acquire a VQ for different attraction at 1PM.

I don't believe if the first attraction is not loading that a guest would be able to acquire a second VQ for a different attraction thus holding 2 at the same time which is not permitted. Attractions break down so it's a known risk that if you hold a VQ for your first attraction, you cannot obtain a second VQ at 1PM for a different attraction until the first one is used. To me it's the same as acquiring a high VQ number at the 7AM drop. There is no guarantee that that VQ will be called by 1PM thus stopping the guest from trying for a VQ for the second attraction until the first one is used.

If anyone here is holding a VQ in their MDE, can you please share if there is an option to cancel the VQ? Thanks!

I tried to book the 1 pm Tron on Friday when Tiana's was down and our group had not been called. (They called through 52, ours was 54.) I could not book Tron until our group used the Tiana VQ. Now, we could have canceled, but we decided to wait. (And ended up getting both eventually.)

We now have our answer confirmed by 2 people.

If your VQ has not been called by 1PM and you wish to try for a VQ for the other attraction, you have the option to cancel your first VQ on the app and try for the other VQ at 1PM.
