Ok i know genie plus is changing on july 24 we will be there that week will i be able to book stuff on july 18 for the 25 or do we have to wait till its first day it starts . I told my daughter we cant use it till the 24 she thinks we can do a week out anyone know this answer
From what I've read, booking for the new system starts on the 24th. On that day, you'll be able to book for the 24th, 25th and the rest of your stay. Meanwhile, people who are arriving as late as the 31st will be able to book that day too. It will be mayhem. You have my sympathies.

Genie+ and ILL$ are booked the morning of your visit. You can no longer book in advance (this changed over a year ago). If you stay onsite you can book both at 7 am. Genie+ will be next available time and for the most popular ride the early times start going into the afternoon quick. ILL$ you can choose times from available slots.

If offsite then Genie+ first reservation is at 7 am but ILL$ you can book only at park opening (new rides and optimal times sell out fast).

If you haven't heard, Genie+ will have its last day on July 23. "Genie+ is dead (or at least due to die). Long live Lightning Lane Multi-Pass."

Wow! Thanks! We have a trip booked for Dec but no communication from Disney regarding any change so I missed it. Probably skipped the update email from Allears/Dfbguide, so partly my fault.

It was just announced yesterday afternoon. Not sure if/how it will affect VQ as I did not see that in the announcement.

Although we don't need park reservations for our dated tickets, does park reservations make it smoother to get VQ?

If you don’t need a park reservation, the system won’t allow you to book a park reservation. Many are successful getting a VQ each day and this is a combination of guests who do and do not have park reservations. Neither group is more advantaged/disadvantaged.

Unfortuntely wasnt able to join the Tiana VQ this morning (with my MGK reservation-offsite) , but I'm not sure if it's because I didn't commit and get Genie +. I didn't want to chance wasting it if I wasn't going to be able to get it first thing. Good luck to all those that were able to get it. I just checked it's under LL selection. Okay I'll go next week now I see how it goes...

From what I could tell, you can't get in the VQ for both Tianas and Tron at the same time.
I think that’s true. I was able to snag a Tiana VQ this morning, when I tried to then snag a VQ for Tron, it said we weren’t eligible. Waiting for them to populate a return time at the moment for our boarding group.

This is correct. You may only hold 1 attraction VQ at a time.

Is this just for Magic Kingdom … meaning I can’t get a VQ for TRON and Tiana’s at the same time?
Last year I was able to get a VQ for TRON then quickly switch my park reservation and get a VQ for GOTG. Now with no park reservations, has this loop hole been closed?

The fact that you're staying offsite and the fact that you didn't buy Genie+ should not have made a difference. For the official opening day of Tiana, the VQ was probably only available for one second or so.

This changed in January of this year. Since January, only 1 attraction VQ allowed at a time.

I just checked my internet speed it was slow lol trying to fix that now

I actually got a Tiana VQ for my friend today! They were group 54. The ride went down at 52. :( I thought that meant they were out of luck for the 1 pm drop of Tron, but that one stayed open a long time - still available at 4 pm- and they were able to snag Group 172.

One more question....can you still get a GOTG at 7am OR 1pm....and then a second VQ at the 6pm drop provided we have used the regular VQ that we got at either 7 or 1? I know I can't get both a 7am AND 1pm VQ in the same day, but do extra hours still allow you to get that second VQ for deluxe extra hours time?
