Everything Park Reservations - Please Read Post 1

Totally aware of this. Thanks. Still trying to get an answer to the question about park hopping
I honestly don’t feel we truly know have a definitive answer to this at this time as the wording on the Disney website is not clear enough.

This is the website wording and we truly don’t know if ‘theme park reservation’ means a reservation at any of the parks or if it is specifically a MK theme park reservation? It truly can be interpreted both ways.

If it were me and I were an AP, if I wanted to visit MK in the evening to see the parade I would book MK, go there first to tap in then hop to the park I really want to visit then back to MK. Yes, A LOT more work but until we have a definitive answer would give an AP peace of mind that they could access MK for the parade.

Guaranteed access that way is something other guests may not have as I’m wondering for some time if MK might fill to capacity and PH being stopped?

Only time will tell once Jul 20 arrives.

I suppose it's vague. Seems really clear and straight forward and very specific to me. There are changes for the reservation system.
Before 7/20
You can enter parks after 2PM, except MK on weekends
After 7/20
You can not enter MK without a reservation after 2:00 PM

There is no mention of any change to hopping rules anywhere. If they are so specific with everything else what makes one think they wouldn't address a change to hopping too?

Yes, all doubt will be removed on 7/20, when someone will either be admitted hopping or be turned away hopping.

I guess I'm confused why there's hopping confusion at all as they are really specific here about what's changing. There's no mention that hopping rules are changing. Hopping isn't even mentioned.

The hopping confusion that is being raised is, what does this mean for AP's that have a park reservation at any of the other 3 parks from July 20th and moving forward?

Some are interpreting the blurb on the AP page to say an AP will not be able to enter the MK without a MK park reservation.

Others are interpreting it to be an AP will not be able to enter the MK without a park reservation at any park.

The current wording could be interpreted either way which is what is causing the confusion.

It specifies you cannot hop to MK as a passholder without reservations at MK, but can hop between other parks.

I don’t know what the confusion is. It’s clearly stated on the website that it’s temporary due to anticipated demand for the starlight parade at MK in the evenings (not other parks) hence they’re trying to limit the passholders (not date based ticket holders) hopping over to MK without reservations.

It’s stated on the website that ‘starting July 20’ passholders ‘must have’ a park reservation to visit MK. It couldn’t be clearer.

It really doesn't. You might be correct. But it says cannot hop to MK without a theme park reservation. It doesn't say without an MK park reservation. That's why some are confused by the wording, thinking if you have an AK park reservations, visit there, you can still hop to MK anytime later (for example)...... It's easy to come to two different conclusions around the wording - not the first time Disney has been guilty of unclear communications.

I will agree to disagree on this point. Your interpretation is different from mine. I don't see it clearly stated at all. If they wanted it to be clear it would say they need a MK park reservation and it does NOT say that. That is what is unclear to me and many other people.

I highlighted (marked on the left in black) the area where it says that annual pass holders must have a park pass reservation including after 2 pm.

Let's get back to discussing other matters about Theme Park Reservations since this is becoming a tennis match with no real winners or answers at this time.

Please discuss other portions about park reservations aside from will AP's require a MK park reservation on July 20th. There is no clear answer at this time (to most of us) and we're not getting anywhere trying to convince one another that our interpretation is the correct one.

Until further information is published, let's discuss other reservation questions/discussions. Additional posts trying to 'prove' an interpretation may be removed as it's just going back and forth between 2 differing interpretations of the same information.
