Well, he did fix the bathroom.
But to be fair, I probably broke it in the first place.
Well, he did fix the bathroom.
Here you go Kaylene. It's Italian. And Italians make some pretty awesome stuff. Shoes, Ferraris, wine.

Oh, I guess I forgot to tell you. As awesome as they are at making some things, they suck at making soda. Sorry about that.

Some of you may recognize that as our Christmas Card this year. For those of you that don't...well, I'm sure the Post Office lost it or something.
A friendly wave self portrait in China. (The odd square thing on my head is not any type of robotic or cybernetic attachment that was installed by a secret department of our government. Its...uh...the external flash on the camera. Yeah, that makes sense. It's the flash from the camera sticking up. Totally.)
Bambi and Evan watching the Japanese fish.

Kaylene asked if they had sushi at the Japanese pavilion. We've never eaten there, so I decided to wander a bit and found out that they do. I'd never had sushi until that day when Kaylene talked me into trying it. (And by "talked me into" I mean she said "do you want to try some?") So it wasn't just Kaylene and Kayden experiencing something for the first time. Verdict: awesome!
Huh. Well, it turned out that this was another pretty picture heavy update with very few words. I'm sure some of you are disappointed by that. Others are rejoicing. Either way, I'll have another one coming up, maybe as soon as this afternoon. Or not.
Such a disappointment... I miss Dreamfinder! At least I can still see Figment with a minimal wait.We made our way down the hill and hung a quick right, directly into the stampeding hordes of people heading into Journey into Imagination. Just kidding, we walked right in.
I don't know about the Christmas card part, but I most definitely recognize that sweatshirt! Some of you may recognize that as our Christmas Card this year. For those of you that don't...well, I'm sure the Post Office lost it or something.
Why isn't there a picture of you getting your face painted????Hey kids, do you know what time it is? It's tradition time! Yes, every time we got to Epcot, we let the kids get their face painted at the Outpost/Generic Africa area.

Hey! Who's thirsty? That sure is a lot of walking around Future World, isn't it? Man, I'm parched. Who want's a soda? Is anyone else's throat dry? I could really go for a little liquid refreshment.

As much as the architecture and ambiance of each of the pavilions is awesome, the kids just aren't into it quite yet. We did some wandering during our stroll around the lagoon, but not too much TR-wothy antics.
Sorry to disappoint you. Let me make it up to you with some Christmas decoration photos:
There was a doll shop set up outside of the American Adventure that Madison just fell in love with. They had these dolls dressed up as just about all of the princesses and princes. Thanks to grandma & grandpa, she now has 4 of these in her room at home.

Ah those crazy Italians. I still think this is some sort of practical joke they are playing on us, kind of like NY style pizza.
Also, isn't that the Official DisDad Meetup Sweatshirt?
And here I just thought that you exchanged the cheese wedge, for a simple cheese block head.
Carpe Koi!
Is this just coincidence that you had Sushi just after looking at the Koi, or is this some sort of latent Koi hatred exposing itself?
And the people rejoiced... yay....

It's hard to keep up with these people.
Hi Molly!![]()
EVAN! DUCK! Oh, sorry, they're actually seagulls. My bad.
![]()
everyone else headed over to The Seas with Nemo & Friends.
Well, he did fix the bathroom.
for being spoiled by grandparents! Although something is telling me she has more expensive dolls in her future...

Is that what he told you?
Did he tell you about how he flooded the office in the process?
Did he tell you it was the bathroom on the second floor and we had water in the basement?
Yes, he did fix it. He is very handy.

Like I said, it's become a tradition whenever we go to Epcot. You know what else is a tradition whenever we go to Epcot? The kids asking ever 10 minutes if it's time to get their faces painted yet.I love the face painting pictures...those are really, really cool!
I'm a big fan of cooked seafood, so I didn't think it would be that much of a stretch. I really liked it and have even gotten some around home when the opportunity presents itself.I'll pass on the sushi, thank you very much.
I actually sent several of them to Illinois. Much of Bambi's dad's family is from down there.Oh, and I'm sure that my Christmas card did not get to me because I live in big old bad Illinois.
Nice photopass picture anyway.
Cardboard and ketchup.Ah those crazy Italians. I still think this is some sort of practical joke they are playing on us, kind of like NY style pizza.
Yes, yes it is. Although sometimes I just wear it to keep warm. Occasionally. Also, isn't that the Official DisDad Meetup Sweatshirt?
The cheese wedge is classic and will never be exchanged. And here I just thought that you exchanged the cheese wedge, for a simple cheese block head.
I was kind of hoping it would be like a fancy lobster place where you pick it out. I walked up to the counter to order with a fancy orange one that I pulled out of the pond, but it turns out they already have it prepared for you.Is this just coincidence that you had Sushi just after looking at the Koi, or is this some sort of latent Koi hatred exposing itself?
If by "minimal" you mean "as long as it takes you to walk though the queue", then yes, it is a minimal wait.Such a disappointment... I miss Dreamfinder! At least I can still see Figment with a minimal wait.![]()
I'm starting to think the sweatshirt is more popular than I am...I don't know about the Christmas card part, but I most definitely recognize that sweatshirt!
Hmmm...Why isn't there a picture of you getting your face painted????
Yup. I like leisurely days. If only they made a special suit to wear on leisurely days. Sort of a .... leisure suit or something.Nice update! Looks like a fun leisurely day around the World Showcase.![]()
Nate's.That's just shocking. Whose imagination were you journeying into, anyway?![]()
Yes, there was a little sushi backfire later that evening, if you know what I mean.Nice work!I see she tried to return the favor later with sushi, but it backfired on her.
I was able to keep my balance just fine with out doing that - the effects of the Beverly had worn off by that time.Hey, that does look familiar. How come you didn't hold your hands out like Minnie and Mickey?
Hmmm...no sharks over in World Showcase that I'm aware of, but it would be pretty cool if they did that to the Koi over in Japan!Good job pre-emptively blocking jokes. That's a veteran TR move. I was going to ask if it was a shark with a laser beam on its head.
Not yet. Maybe this summer when we go down.Awww...no spy missions yet?
How many of these are permitted in one post?for being spoiled by grandparents! Although something is telling me she has more expensive dolls in her future...

That's what I'm counting on too! That's ok, we can let Bambi fill in some more if you're missing some details.
Thanks!Nice family pics and a great TR!![]()
Thanks Molly! (I think...Molly says hi back! And wanted me to add this![]()
Actually, Molly, if you're referring to the two birds seen swimming in the lower right corner of the photo, I believe those are loons. And while both loons and ducks belong to the class aves, they belong to different orders: loons to Gaviiformes, ducks to Anseriformes. So while they appear similar, biologically they are not related.Molly adds that there is a duck in that photo!
Nice photos, Molly says!
I'm glad you guys enjoyed them! Keep working on him, Molly, he'll learn to work that mouse eventually.Well, Molly and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the last two updates together!
Although, apparently, I don't "drive the mouse" correctly.![]()

Yes, he did fix it. He is very handy.
There might have been 1 or 2 very minor details that he failed to share.
I'm so glad you're here to keep things straight.
Hmmm...
Because I was holding the camera??
How many of these are permitted in one post?![]()

Hold on just a minute. "Flood" the office? I'll admit a little water leaked into it, and much less into the basement from there. My projects usually need a trial run or two, but it's working just fine now. Without having to call a plumber and spend all of our Disney savings, I'd like to add.
nice update barry, great pics. im with madison, that skunk stinks!!!i dont know how they keep that paint on there face, i would have it all smudged and rubbed off in 2 min.
they look good!!

Ah, who am I kidding. If it looks like a duck and swims like a duck, it must be a duck, right? Good Catch Molly!
Does he do this at home too, Bambi? We really need some bigger eye-rolling smilies...
Thanks Dave. But think about how awesome you would look in those 2 minutes with a tiger crawling up the side of your face!nice update barry, great pics. im with madison, that skunk stinks!!!i dont know how they keep that paint on there face, i would have it all smudged and rubbed off in 2 min.

Oh, yeah. Your parents had me calling around trying to find a dinner ADR for the next day.Not even close. You were sitting down at a table on the other side of the walk way.
They don't seem to have a smiley for that...You will be fine. Find a paper bag and breath deeply into it.
Let your conscience be your guide. And by conscience, I mean me.It would be best for you to just walk away while I am in the store. Wait, you won't even be there when I am in the store.![]()
Does he do this at home too, Bambi?
Yes, and I am sorry that he subjected you to this as well.
