I went to LSSU...anywhere in the UP is just a complete mess. I grew up in the Mackinaw area and I never, ever thought it would be that much worse only an hour away. Everyday there is some sort of precipitation - rain, snow, sleet, mist, hail, freezing rain - you name it.

It took me a year to get warm after moving from the Soo.

GENESEE COUNTY, Michigan -- Here's the bad news:

Flint broke a 95-year-old record early Wednesday morning when the temperature plummeted to a frigid 19 below zero. The previous record? Minus 10, set in 1914, according to the National Weather Service.

Here's the even worse news: We won't seeing relief in the next few days.

I'm in Oakland county, Geoff! I work in Genesee! I believe Zepher and I are literally a few minutes apart in nearby towns. (ok, so like twenty minutes, but that is close when you live in the sticks!)

Since the kids had a "cold" day today we all went out to breakfast together and we drove by the river and i snapped a couple pictures of the Detroit River..

Everyone seems to be getting one......except me (as usual). I called Dis Travel.....no code for my name or address......I have made 8 trips in the last 10 years and have never gotten a code......what gives?? They have us in the system and have the correct info....just no codes for us.....

I got one of the passholder's 40% codes--my first ever after traveling to Disney since 1992. Of course it won't work for May, but we may use it in late September/early October for F&WF.

My aunt got a code but we didn't. Infact we never have. My mom got one and I called and told them that I got one in my maiden name at my mom's house and they asked for the number and put it through.. I got lucky i think.. That was 2 years ago.. Oh and btw my mom has NEVER booked a trip to disneyworld..

No, because it's MLK day, so no preschool. Kids (and I) will have cabin fever by then, I think. DS and DD were fighting more than normal, probably because they haven't been able to run around much and burn off some steam.

My kids were happy they didnt have school, high school is in finals right now....new semester was to start on tues.

We did. 40% off for a bunch of dates going all the way to Dec, and we're going to take advantage of it for a big trip with the extended family to see the Christmas lights. Its actually the second code we've gotten - we got one in '07 that we used for DD's birthday trip that August.
