HI DIS!!!!!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!! I can't believe I'm back to work already. I was really worried about how to deal with crazy post-christmas kiddos but it wasn't too bad. Most of the day I only had 8 kids opposed to 19 which is what our roster is. I got 2 right before lunch/nap so I was pretty much like geez, why bring your kid for lunch
and nap, forget the "school" aspect I guess?! I'm curious to see how well the kids slept since I left right at the start of nap


~BACK TO THE TRIP REPORT!!!~


When we left off, Dd and I were in the rental van and heading towards Yacht Club. I was too busy reminding Dd where to turn that I forgot to get my camera out for the sign, so no pic of the WDW sign Dd even asked me if I got a pic of it when we left and nope I didnt!


We pulled up to the security and were greeted with:

"WELCOME HOME!!!!!!"

We parked the rental van in the lot and headed toward the lobby to meet Dm and Dbro.
We walked in and I saw:

I walked to the front desk and gave them my WDW CM ID for the room so the discount would apply. I also asked about late check-out. After about 20 mins of waiting, we were granted with a 1pm check-out time!!
I asked since it was pushing midnight, where we could fill our mugs and the CM tells me we can go right to Ale and Compass in the lobby for that.
We headed over and it turns out you can't fill your mugs there, just for breakfast but the CM did it anyways for us. I tipped her $5 for it.

After checking out the lobby for a few we headed to the room:

I fell right in love with the room right away. I also noticed this when I walked in:

Now if you recall my order for the cake was: 6inch, Merry Christmas, and Xmas colors. I guess you can say I got what I ordered. I kind of expected the frosting to be in red or green but it worked and was gone by the next day. Next time if we aren't on a DDP, I'll get an 8inch.

After checking out the room and setting my stuff down, as well as removing some layers of clothing...we headed out to check out the pool and lobby of BC!!!!!

I'm so glad that I found your TR. A while back I followed you here and on facebook when you worked at BBB and later at AK. I loved reading about your work and see your pics. But suddenly I couldn't find your report. I could remember something about you having a bit of trouble so I have been wondering if you were still in WDW. It sounds like everything worked out for you and that you had a great time with Disney.

We were not sure if it was a "new room" but we were very pleased with it and thought everything looked great including the TV Of course we had Stacey on for ever and ever!! lol

Sad isn't it?! I wish we could have stayed longer and the location was great!

Oh I know my poor reports My darn computer crashed twice when I was there and lost everything from a nasty virus (why my FB is now different several months later) lol. I thought the solution was buy a new laptop so I did and that crashed a month after I had it. They claim it was a faulty hard drive and sent a new one which has been working fine, knock on wood!!

LET ME START BY SAYING:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!


I will be staying at the local Residence Inn this weekend with my family so not knowing the internet situation, I figured I'd post the rest of TRAVEL DAY before the weekend begins tomorrow!!! I'm very excited about a short work week yet sad because it will be my last "short work week" until Easter Wish me luck haha!!!!


PART 3 OF TRAVEL DAY!
-BC Lobby and SAB at Night:

So when we left off, Dm, Dd, Dbro and I were on a misson to check out BC Lobby and SAB at night. Now if you recall my plan of attack was to get my butt into a pool/hot tub when I got there to say I went in a pool but figured, what the heck, I'll brave the chilly 60 degree temps in the morning and go down that big slide!!!!!

We walked inside over to BC/outside bc you can't walk inside the whole way...and found this:

I loved this: I thought everyone was a kid in WDW????

Dbro and Dd checking everything out. Dbro had become OBSESSED with Dd's new camera during the trip. We just kept walking and laughed after a period of time and by that I mean a day of his obsessive picture taking...

And then we headed outside and walked around the pool-SAB area:

Sorry I look so horrible, that was after a night of no sleep, followed by a day of work, a night of traveling, and walking around the resort!

I gave a cake review on the cake thread but here it is here:

Cost: $30+ tax and delivery charges
Request: 6inch cake, christmas colors, Merry Christmas writing, vanilla/vanilla.

We got what we ordered! We got about 6-8 pieces of the cake and by that I mean 6-8 tiny pieces. The cake tasted fresh and was nice to have since we weren't on a DDP and were having snacks galore. Next time we will get an 8inch if we aren't on the DDP.


After having some yummy bites of cake we all got ready for bed...


Now if you recall, My Dbro-6'4 tall is still able to fit in the bunkbed at WL/AKL. Well, he did not fit on the daybed. I finally decided well, I could sleep in the same bed as Dbro and fight all night or give in and sleep on the daybed...

I slept on the daybed.

The only complaint we had of the room is that you can fit 5 in the room (1 person on daybed) yet there were no white sheets for the daybed. At that point it was past 1am and we didn't feel like waking housekeeping to bring us some sheets. I put the khaki blanket from the closet on the daybed and took the comforter from Dbro's bed and used that.

By 2am we were sound asleep...well, everyone but me and we had an 8:30 wake-up call waiting for us!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR DIS!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone had a great New Years celebration!!

My family came to Cincy for New Years. We (Dm, Dd, dbro, and I) stayed at the local Residence Inn by Marriott. We this hotel. It has a living room, full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, flat screen tvs, pull out couch and a bedroom with 2 queen beds and the full bathroom. It only costs about $100 a night and you get free breakfast!
Thurs night we went to dinner at Montgomery Inn restaurant. They are famous for their ribs and BBQ sauce. I'm not really a fan of either so I find the place just eh.
Fri we watched the parade, Dm and I went to see Princess and the Frog. I thought it was good, but honestly I didn't think it was as great as everyone has said it to be. After that we stopped at another Cincy fav-Skyline Chili and got food to go. We ate and watched the OSU Rose Bowl game and Dm and I checked out the pool/hot tub which was sooo nice until it was invaded with children who were less than supervised so we left. I finished off the night watching TV and going to bed by 10 lol.

BACK TO THE TR!!!!!

DAY 2 FRIDAY DEC 11TH 2009

When we left off, we were all settled into our room for the night: Dm and Dd on the one queen bed, Dbro on the other queen bed, and myself on the daybed.

How did I sleep????

Um, maybe 2 hours?!

Between being excited, mom snoring, Dd snoring, and Dbro doing whatever he was doing..it was hard to sleep
I got by with my Ipod and Disunplugged Podcasts lol.

Around 8:30 we started to wake up and turned on Stacy first and then the weather channel to find...

60 degrees

I took these pics as we were getting ready:

How was I going to attempt that slide with 60 degrees?! I pondered a bit while I was getting ready. We all go ready and Dm, Dd, and I headed over to Ale and Compass in YC lobby for their light breakfast. Dd and I had cinnamon rolls and tea with our mugs. Dm had a bagel and coffee. Dbro had other plans for breakfast.

After that I had made my decision to challenge SAB.

Dd and Dbro were headed to BW for the bakery and to take pics with the camera of course! Dm and I headed to SAB with just me swimming.

We took this of the room when we were walking over. Our room was the bottom one in the middle under the room w/the red and white awning.

Now for SAB!!!

This was taken right after I went on the pirate slide:

Well, I loved the slide. I would have loved it more if it were not 60 degrees and had a million stairs to climb! We did have to get a wrist bracelet when we entered the pool area. We showed them our room key and got yellow bracelets.

After bragging about the sand bottom pool, I convinced Dm to get her suit on and get into the 82 degree pool!

I swam around the pool while Dm was gone. When she got back, she hopped in and I took our things and we headed for the hot tub area and I took more pics:

After 15 mins in the hot tub, Dbro and Dd found us and had that "WHY ARE YOU STILL AT SAB, WE HAVE THINGS TO DO" You know that look?? lol.

We got out of the pool into the freezing cold air and headed to the room. After I took a hot shower and got ready, we got our stuff together and were ready to check out by 12 even though we had late check out till 1. On our way out, Dbro had expressed he wanted a holiday YC pin, Dm a hoodie, and I wanted some pins. I had assumed I got a 40% discount in the gift shops like last Xmas. I gathered all the goodies and checked out.

That was the point of the trip where I knew I'd be checking at least one bag back to Cincy. Not only did I get a discount, I got 50% off EVERY WDW GIFT SHOP and WDW was offering a 50% discount on all 2009 merchandise

We got a hoodie for $12, and the pins for $2.50 each. It was all downhill from there when we entered gift shops!!!!!


Well we put our things in the rental van and were headed to WL to check in and headed to MK till the room was ready!!!!
