I just got back from the Contemporary, and while I had a really, really great trip, I wished I was staying at BLT, instead!

I love Lauren's dancing pics in the airport. And way to go thinking about getting off at the Poly instead I'm sure that saved a lot of time AND let you get on Disney ground quicker! YAY! Your favorite Disney park for your first day!! It looks like a great time. We were really bummed that the new Innoventions simulator ride wasn't operating when we went (Sept 20-26). One of the CMs told us about it while we were there, though. I can't wait to try it next time! That's so exciting that Lauren got to Pick a Pearl! I did it for the first time this past trip. Did they say, "Thank you very much for coming to-a-day!"? We LOVED this! Luke's mischievous grin is awesome. And I can just tell that your family had the greatest time... Can't wait to read more!!!!

We just went at the beginning of October for a long weekend just Chris and me! It was so wonderful...I love the fall in Disney World. Food and Wine Rocks...I love the pics of BLT! Thanks for sharing them. We need to stay there at some point. We just love Beach Club and never want to leave there. I am loving reading another Tim and Lesley trip report!

I can't wait to stay at BLT in January!!! I've been to the models 100 times at Doorway to Dreams - but it's fun to see them 'for real' Great Pictures!

Yay! Awesome first day. Is it ok to be a bit jealous?! LOL. The roller coaster simulator sounds awesome! They have a similar one at Disney Quest but we never make it there...I'm definitely doing the one at EPCOT next year. You guys make your days seem so easy. BLT look awesome! Can't wait for more!

Love the start. I think the Contemporary is great and can't wait to stay at BLT. (This makes me wish we had bought there).

That Mickey print was in our room when we were at the Contemporary... I thought they were still giving them out in the rooms there and at BLT.

I hope we do a long weekend some fall when my Luke is older... can't wait to read all about the rest.

Hey Laura, I know, I kinda wish we'd had bought there too but I LOVE LOVE LOVE AKL too, and we'll probably reserve BLT for fall trips now, we can do both : )

I swear you get can so much more done in the fall because of the milder weather. I can't wait to hear about MNSSHP. My DH and I had the best time and LOVED the parade and fireworks.

I know, LOVE the fall, such fun! Stay tuned for tons of pics from MNSSHP, but food and wine comes first, that was a blast too!

I'm here and am loving the trip so far... Can't believe that I'm here at the very beginning~hopefully I can keep up this time! Bay Lake is beautiful, we are thinking about DVC, but haven't taken the leap so any thing you think would be helpful to know I appreciate all insight!

I can't wait for more ~ loving it so far! We will be back in December for 14 days (longest trip yet)! Already your report is getting me more excited about going!

I had a quick question for you. We are debating between Bay Lake Tower or Animal Kingdom Villas for our oct 2010 trip ...which did you like better and why? I appreciate any feedback especially since you got to experience both first hand I am trying to make a decision on where to stay very soon. TIA

Wow, that's a TRICKY one. If you are going in October and will be going to Food and Wine then I would do Bay Lake because the monorail access is great. Both resorts are incredible and have their own perks. I love the restaraunts and atmosphere at Animal Kingdom but I love the closeness to Magic Kingdom, Bay Lake Views, and monorail access at BLT and the moderness of it, oh and the view from the top of the world lounge (but I'll get to that) at BLT. They are both incredible with wonderful theming, if you are a huge animal lover and think you would enjoy that and enjoy an "all under one roof" concept then I'd choose AKL, if you are more into modern things and like the modern "exclusive" feel, then I say BLT. They are both one of a kind and we plan on returning to both in the future. Either way you will be staying at an amazing resort. Sorry I couldn't help more. If you didn't read our report last summer, I have TONS of AKL pics in there (link is in my signature).

Thanks for sharing your pictures!!! We'll be at BLT in 180 days from today. The count down is on. I loved the picture of your husband drinking the different Coke products. We had Beverly when we were in Atlanta over the summer and that was the WORST thing I've ever tasted. Where is that in EPCOT? I want my in-laws to try it. I've never seen anything in the countries about Poland before. Where is that? So many questions and I've been there 5 times already.

So glad you enjoyed it, you will love BLT. Club Cool is past electric umbrella when you enter the park to your right before you get to World Showcase. Poland isn't a country, it was a kiosk set up for Food and Wine, it was set up in Norway.

Sounds wonderful so far! I'm a little jealous too . . . well, who am I kidding? I'm a lot jealous! I'm trying to figure out how to fit a Christmas trip into the schedule somehow.

BLT looks awesome! Great that your room was ready for you when you arrived. The Sum of All Thrills sounds like so much fun. It's awesome that you've been so many times and there are still new things to experience each time you go. Can't wait to hear more!

Food and Wine is fun...we always seem to get there for the opening weekend and love sampling food and drinks from all over the world.

One thing I'm curious of, (and sorry if you've mentioned it before), but when you took personal days off, did you let people know it was for a vacation? I'm just interested how they reacted.

Thank you so much, you are too sweet. I get 3 personal days per year and they can be used for vacation, just need principal approval - fortunately I have a wonderful principal who approved them- he knows how much I love Disney and I think sensed I needed the break : )

PAGE 4!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where have I been? Your trip looks so wonderful so far! I cannot wait to read the rest. We are leaving in 4 days and I had that tingly butterfly feeling of pure excitement while looking at your pictures. Isn't it amazing that you can go to Disney over and over and still find so many new things to do? My mom asked me what we were going to do this year since we just went last year? How do you even answer a question like that? I think we could go 10 times and still find new stuff. And doing the old stuff all over again is pretty good too!

BLT looks wonderful! Maybe one day we can stay at a monorail resort. We are staying at PC this time but I am just happy to be going so no complaints here. But BLT really looked awesome!

How was the humidity? I know the temps were nice, but was the air sticky?

I know, this thing blew up, so blessed to have so many wonderful readers. Love Disney for that reason! There's always something new to experience. BLT is GREAT. NO IT WASN'T STICKY, that's how I could wear my hair straight, NEVER can do that in the summer, it was WONDERFUL!

It was a great first day. Hope you can buy in, wish we could add on points there. If you have DVC questions let me know. I didn't end up getting that t shirt, I have another Wine one that says "I Wine a Lot, it makes me feel better' in a similar style (right next to it in that pic actually) that I bought on our trip this summer.

I was so excited to not only see you started a new trip report, but those pics of BLT blew me away!! We have 24 more days until we get there, and we're booked in a Lakeview Studio, as well. I can't wait to see it in person!!
How were the crowds? We were there for the two weeks preceeding your trip last year (10/11 - 10/25) and it was INSANE - definitely the most crowded October trip I've ever had!

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this (sadly! ), but are you guys going to be able to make it to DAP??

The crowds at Food and Wine and Epcot in general were crowded, everywhere else was WONDERFUL (don't worry, I'll go into detail). I can't go to DAP, I'm out of personal days, BUT TIM IS GOING!!!! He is meeting Bryan there (from last years TR). They are so excited (and I'm a teenie bit jealous).

I'm in, great start Lesley! We stayed at BLT in August and LOVED it. And my friend and I are staying there in January for the Half Marathon. I can't wait to get back there!!

We did our first, and only so far, October trip to WDW in Oct. 2007. It was a 5 night trip, had the boys miss 3 days of school. And we had just gone in August that year (also March that year, lol). So anyway, I can relate to how your trip was...having just been, feeling like you're going back HOME...and ours was wonderful!! Doing all the fall stuff there for the first time was so much fun. I'm looking forward to the rest of your report!
