Yes, it is indeed the swine flu.
I developed a sore throat in History today, and I haven't gotten sick since the fifth grade.

No joke, over 100 kids at the opposing school of ours have the swine flu, some are my friends.

And i'm freaking out!

Dont fret. Unless they have other severe health conditions they will be fine. Yes they will be sick for a few days but its like getting the flu that goes around in the winter.

When the swine flu first came out the local elementary school had a huge spread of the norovirus 200 kids got sick and they only have 400 kids at the school! It was over the news and everything so after that we were all like forget the swine flu remember the norovirus lol...
But I'm sorry the swine flu is going through your school

If that many people were suddenly getting the swine flu at your school, it would be closed I'm suprised that I saw nothing about this on World News Tonight. If there were that many people with swine flu at one spot, it would definitely be on the news. I mean, that's almost the same number as the national total already!

If there were over 100 kids with swine flu at ANY school in your district, the entire district would be shut down. It's a public safety issue at that point and the federal government can get in A LOT of trouble for making kids go to school with the risk of catching swine flu.

Depending on the size of the district, they may or may not. My school district is large. 100 kids only account for 1/6th of the junior class at my high school.They may shut down the high school, but they sure as hell wouldn't do it for the whole school district.

There's been ALOT of cases of the swine flu according to

522 People in the States and Territories have died and 7,983 people have been hospitalized also according to the map it says that Cassidy's state is local so her city may of been hit hard!
Also not all schools will close I mean theres been a lot of epedemics of it in loads of schools already and not all of them have been closed...

Oh lord.... over the weekend I had a terrible sore throat and fever and was DRAINED, like not moving off of the couch drained!! I took Motrin like they were candy for 3 days straight and lost a ton of weight. I wonder if that's what I had! Now I'm worried about DS (only 3) getting it!! I hope you're feeling better soon! This is true.

Even if your school district has 1,000 kids or 4,000 kids, 100 kids getting sick is pretty serious, especially since an average family could have a kid in elementary school, middle school, and high school, all at one time.

WE have it 6 miles in another school from us and part of them live where i do but it hasnt got to my school yet and hope its stays that way
