Our 1st Disney Family Vacation! My DH , 2 DS's (6&7), and myself. I have been there many times in the past but it has been over 10 years since the last visit.
I know that AUGUST is going to be HOT......
But if I hear one more time that we are going to be miserable with the heat and my kids are going to hate how hot it is I am going to scream. I have been so excited to take my kids to Disney that I have been more excited then they are.
Now we have friends that had an Aunt just get back and say how miserable of a time her and her kids had at Disney from the heat. I guess that I am looking for some of you to tell me that it is still going to be fun!!!!!!
We are staying at the WL and planning on taking breaks in the afternoon. We are un decided as to whether to do EMH mornings I know that it will be cooler but some on here say it is to crowded! I thought maybe at MK we would do those and then leave right before or after lunch and do another park in the afternoon.
We are going to be there for 7 days and like I told everyone we will see what we can and just have fun.
Does anyone feel that it is worth there time to go either water park at Disney in August with 2 boys that are 6 & 7 or just stick to the theme parks????
PLEASE HELP

We almost always go in August and we have a GREAT time.
Yes it gets hot but I don't think it's as bad as people think. sssshhh Then again...I like heat.
Anyway the lines are not as bad as June and July. Have a plan you go to the parks early, come back for a dip in the pool, relax and go back to the parks in the late afternoon it'll will be perfect.

) And that would cool it down so that it was more pleasant at night. As long as you are prepared for the heat, it will be fine!!!
What a great way to look at that. We too are going to be there sweating it out with you in August. I know what you mean about getting all the comments. I had a fellow coworker who was retiring no less, leave a comment about the heat in a note she left for me. Oh well. We live in Ohio. So the way we look at it, its better to be hot and miserable anyday in WDW than to be hot and miserable in Ohio.
Smallworld!
