Everyday Life Swap COMPLETE

My paper came today, so I'll be starting on these this week!! :cool1:

I have an idea for my coffee group but I'm feeling stumped at the moment. I decided to title them, "I NEED Coffee" since that is a common refrain in my life. I want to do the "NEED" in Starbucks green but I want to cover the letters in green microbeads and then seal them with Diamond Glaze. The only problem is that I'm not entirely sure how to do that. I've used the Diamond Glaze stuff to seal glitter and I'm not entirely sure that it worked as well as I would need it to for the beads.

Does anyone have any ideas? Would UTEE work better? I was thinking it might if I use glitter instead of the beads but I like the way the beads look. Help!

What are you glueing them down with? If that glue is strong enough to hold them while you seal them, I think it'll be fine. If you are worried, you could always cover the whole thing with a sheet of acetate so it doesn't get touched once glued.

I just have my regular Tombow multi liquid glue which works really well for the glitter. When you say acetate, do you mean a piece of transparency over the top?

Mickster's Fairest was 3-3/4x2-2/3 with a diecut over hanging the edge.
Hopemax's DeVil was 5x3-1/4
123SA's Soccer was 6x3-1/3

ok i so need some help. i'm thinkin' the rubber room right now!!!!!!

i am trying my hardest to figure out my stupid cricut. i could GIVE it away right now!!!!!!!! i'm so frustrated i could scream.

i'm doing the license plate for kiss the cook and can't figure out what size to do. real dial size, not real dial size. what the heck is the difference- i don't know. i'm cricut dumb!!!!

so apparently i've made it 3" (real dial size) and it automatically makes it about 5 1/2 long. is this to big? and then what size letters do i use????

i am completely stressed out over this. i did the slide mounts and i thought this part would be a breeze.

someone? anyone?

Yes. I saw this really cool Christmas card that had the Microbeads done in a swirling tree with the acetate (transparency) over top of it.

Okay girl, breathe.

What did you want to put on the plate? That will make all the difference. Are you using the Mickey Font to make the plate? Are you using that font on the plate?

Two questions for the Kiss the Cook Elements group

Are we supposed to specify what element we are creating?

I don't see tags listed as an element.

I really want to make two 5" tags. Can I do that and is that all I need to create or do I need to pick one other item? If so can I make a Journal box?

Thanks. I guess that is three questions!

yes i did use the plate on mickey cart. and i wanted to use the font on the cart, but it does look like it fits. so here's my ?'s

1. is that too big?

2. do the letters need to be matted?

thank you soooo much-
po3

2 tags would be one element. You can use any of the elements from the page kit and the others listed.

No, you don't need to tell me your elements. I'm pretty sure that even if everybody did 2 tags & a topper they would all be so different that they would all be used.

No, it's not too big. You can shadow or silhoutte them, but shadow is easier.

do i have to shadow or silhoutte them? because that's where i run into problems with it not fitting.

b-t-w i wanted it to say kiss the cook.

No, you don't have to with the license plates. I don't think it is a necessary thing at all. Sorry that my other posts made it sound that way. :sad1:

see here it is at the smallest the bug would cut it at.
maybe i should try the "good ole sizzix!!!!"

OMG it's so not you. i don't think it said it had to be matted, i was just asking????

What about a different font? Do you have alphabet stamps that might work?
Or make it say "Kis D'Cook"
