i think i'm going to go with the sizzix one i have. it looks a lot better. i just cut out a few and way better! thanks for the offer and ALL the help.

MY DH would so agree with you DH if he knew that. Even with the BCP, I still am not a fun person to be around.

NO just for me!!!!!! i'm a visual learner- so it takes me a little longer than the average person. thank god everyone on here is so nice and patient with me. i'm surprised they haven't banned me yet!!!!!! (i think i ask more ?'s than anyone else!!!!! )

Can I make a suggestion?
If you have a font like George that has the tag feature (the letter on a stick) or any other one that has the letter inside a shape. You can cheat the size. I did that for I think my monkey tags.

I set the tag feature on George, set the tag at like 2 inches (I think) and it cut the letter out first. So when it finished cutting the letter I hit stop so it wouldn't cut the tag part out. You will have to play with the sizes to get the right letter size but it might work.

It may be too late, but did you download the trial version of the Design Studio? I know, that is a crazy question.

Anyway, I like to load up the Design Studio and select my images and sizes in the program and then I can see exactly how big something is BEFORE I cut it. I only have the trial, so I can only cut with George. But it has all the carts there to look at, so you can see how big something is, and then go to the Cricut and set the size dial and real size or not.

The Cricut isn't complicated. It's trying to figure out how to size things to make them fit where you want. And that is all just trial and error. Some people are real organized and write down stuff. Not me. I just wing everytime, so sometimes it takes longer than it should.


Okay, I finished glueing the letters for Goofy's Friday. I need to glue up the icons next and I can start assembling the elements.

I may have to rethink Tink's Friday. Not sure I want to do the shadow font again.

AWM, I have a question though. I am making a tag for the laundry that will look like clothes hanging on a hanger. Do I have to double mat it?

well, paper piecing is a stretch. I may need to put a design on the clothes. I will cut 2 pieces and they will be back to back for a finished look. Maybe I'll do a lime green T! Or a Disney T-shirt! LOL That would be cool!

thanks for the trick.. I'll try that tomorrow... I'd say today..but I haven't scrapped in 2.5 weeks... so I'll start fresh tomorrow!!!
