Everybody's got a Laughing Place...ours was our Disneymoon!8-26-Day 3 Complete! Pg13

Alright, I'm in too. I came over from your thread about contacting Disney - I love hilariously written reports and honeymoon reports, so it's the best of both worlds!

However, I'm going to have a lot to catch up on, because I'm leaving in a few days.. I want to read at least one more update before I go!!!! (But your closet comes first)

aww yay! We are working on day Three today- The closet is almost done-PHEW! Now our dining table is no longer the "other closet" lol

Caught up - I commend the two of you for the way you handled this. The TV alone would have sent me through the roof. I'm glad you had a good time despite everything. Looking forward to the rest of your report!

Promise to get it up soon- Uploading the photos to photobucket as we speak...

As my mom always said... Patience is a virtue... so you must be 2 of the most virtuous people ever!!!! I wouldve cried too... not a fun way to start your disneymoon. Hope it all worked out, I cant wait to hear more :)

Yeah- I am still abit shocked by it but- it made us laugh alot so thats all that matters!

Just caught up and sitting on the edge of my sit waiting to see what happens next.:surfweb: We are DVC members and go twice a year and yet to have any major problems. We are going again next month and DS 8 can't wait to do the Kim Impossible at Epcot, I told him how much ya'll enjoyed it.

So Lucky- DVC members- We were considering- even were ready to buy until the last trip- however- hearing from so many members is making us realize that our honeymoon really must have been a out of the blue kinda thing

Vin and I were talking this weekend about what a few people had said to us...

"HOW did you stay so calm"

And the way we figured it out was... that we have had SO MANY amazing times in Disney in the last couple of years- One year I went twice within a month- with no problems...

That this one instance- we didn't take it too much to heart at the time because we were probably a little shocked...

Almost like your favorite cousin who you love a whole lot- but one day acts a little mean to you- and maybe says some things they didnt mean....

Its still your FAVORITE cousin- so it hurts, yes- but you still have the image of that person before the bad freak out....

Does that make any sense?

We still have this "magical" image of Disney in our heads. So- we were more forgiving because of the disney we have known- rather than the Disney that we had just saw...

I guess thats why we are already planning our honeymoon re-do for next year!

Hi,

Came over here from your post on the resorts board, and started reading because I love your attitudes. It's so nice to read about someone who had something go wrong and rolled with it and was even able to laugh about it.

Congratulations on your marriage! We're about to head down to celebrate our 5th anniversary.

Subscribing.I saw your original post on the resorts board and followed over. Congrats to Vin on the union! My DH works closely with the NY locals and he always speaks so highly of them. Your photos are great. I would have never thought of dining at the Biergarten before I saw your pictures.

You two absolutely have the best attitude about your honeymoon. If you're in love and enjoying each other and basking in the happiness of your wedding, it's not that hard to deal with adversity. I'm sad that you wound up in tears, but bridal stress and sleep deprivation will do that to a girl.

At my wedding, someone stole $1800 out of my pocketbook. Honestly, it was the best day for that to happen. We just opened envelopes until we made it up. Our honeymoon was a split between Nevis and St. Maarten. The TA told us we were all paid up. What a surprise when the innkeeper in Nevis asked for another $2000 and said he didn't take credit cards! (He accepted an imprint of my Amex card and we mailed a check when we got home.)In St. Maarten, we checked in to our hotel to find that the hotel was under construction, certain wings weren't available and our room had...two double beds. We weren't happy, but we just kind of rolled with it and pushed the beds together. They must have been older because there was about a 3 inch difference in height between them.

However, looking back on it, I still had a great honeymoon and our personalities have always meshed, so that we can handle stuff like that. I left on that honeymoon 22 years ago today.

I hear ya Jenny, at least you guys have the right idea... and I love the idea of a Disneymoon do-over!:thumbsup2

Hellooooooooooooooooooooo

Pretty please can we have another tr update! popcorn:: hehe!!

I know i am impatient... !

Alright you two, we are ready for more!!!!popcorn::

BTW I think a DIS trip to Hawaii would be awesome!!! It is pricey though, even when you get there. Unless you eat off the dollar menu at McDonald's, even food is expensive. But that could just be me and Ryan. We didn't really hold back on the spending at all...

Me too I want more this is important LOL!

Ive heard the same, and all the research ive done makes me think disney is cheap!

Wow unreal.
Who on earth would so something like that????????

It is pretty awesome though to put the problems aside and just...be happy!

Ohhh guysssssssssssssssssssssss

The pics for day three are almost done...they'll be up....

TONIGHT!:banana::banana::banana:

Disney Day Three

It’s a New Day….at the Wilderness Lodge…

So, although we knew we had to wake up early- We didn’t realize how much the waking up really early would effect our mood!

The phone rang at around 6am- and left us message (Why of course I didn’t pick up! Loll)

“Hello this is the front desk calling. We just wanted to let you know that you are to be out of your room by Eight O Clock AM in order for us to complete your room change request. If we do not hear from you by Ten Oclock your room change will be cancelled. Have a magical day”

BUGGER

I literally felt beyond exhausted. My body was aching and I was just…tired. You could see Vins eyes were definitely feeling the exhaustion (As said before- he needs his rest because of his immune issue) and I started to get a bit worried…

But- I smiled…and so did he and we both agreed that “ At least tonight we’ll be able to sleep!”

Vin and I smiled at eachother, threw on some clothes (Ones of course acceptable to walk outside with- bazooka pjs are definitely a NO!lol)

So,we headed to the old faithful club to get some breakfast and called the bell hop.

We decided to take advantage of not being able to travel- and missing ressies- and throw on our bathing suits before bell hop came so we could head to the pool after we went to the front desk….

But not before saying GOODBYE to our old room (hehehe)

PICT1414.jpg

We headed downstairs and the concierge desk explained that we would be called when our new room was ready. We had saw the couple leaving this morning around 8am so we thought for sure that the room would be ready early…

I even said “Can you make sure you have my right number” just incase…

But- we were off!

Those of you newlyweds- and pin lovers- Disney has some pretty awesome new pins! So, we bought them!

DSC_0350.jpg

The day was actually pretty relaxing…I fell asleep on the lounge chair…
PICT1423.jpg

Vin fell asleep on the chair…
PICT1428.jpg

And we just enjoyed the time at the pool….
PICT1419.jpg

PICT1422.jpg

Cont....

It was around 12:00 and so we decided, whose it going to hurt if we go to see if the room is ready. So, off to Concierge- only to find out it wasn’t…

We were hungry and decided to go to Roaring Forks.
DSC_0322.jpg

I have a stomach issue- and can rarely even finish a kids meal- so we got a double cheeseburger and cut it (enough for me to have a nice size- but vin got most of it)

It was super good. Roaring forks is a nice quick meal place If you have nothing else to do and want a meal….

However, we really started to feel the tiredness now… We decided since we had been baking in the sun that we would sit inside…

Doesn’t vin look so happy?

PICT1434.jpg

So we waited…. And we waited…nothing changed after an hour…
PICT1435.jpg

…and we waited…
PICT1437.jpg

And when around Four rolled around we went back to the front desk…

Only to find that our new room…Was ready- and had been…since this morning…

Okay then? Why weren’t we called? We were upset but, we totally let it go because WE HAD A ROOM!!!!

So, we jumped in the elevator to take showers because we felt so so grose!

And that’s when we saw it….

OUR NEW ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PICT1444.jpg

We walked in and even the Mickey Mouse on the bed was better! LOL
DSC_0283.jpg

It was kind of strange though…everything was on the other side!
DSC_0288.jpg

And this room didn’t have a couch (Which I felt bad because Vin needs it for his back but…WHO CARES NO MORE SCREAMING TV!!!!)

PICT1438.jpg

We were just happy!

PICT1439.jpg

Up Next: Our Last Minute(Literally) dash to Grand Floridian!!!!!!!!!! Hey- we were tired and hungry!
Hey Vin- Why don’t you take this one….since it involved your “girlfriend”

Okay- Our Day 3 Continues....
I would go to Disney just for the pool- I had the most fun there.
PICT1420.jpg

We waited so long for
that special phone call from the front desk, but it never came.
Just remember to wear a hat if you decide to fall asleep on a lounge chair in the basking sun. I woke up with a red scalp, lol.
After the shower we didn’t really know what to do,we were still in sleepy mood-
PICT1440.jpg

but didn’t want our day to be totally ruined… so we just walked around the inside of the hotel and lounged out until around dinner time.
PICT1443.jpg

Theres a really nice area, next to the bridge inside of Wilderness lodge- with wooden rocking chairs.
PICT1445.jpg

These were sadly closed off by Friday though… some awesome pics…
PICT1446.jpg

PICT1447.jpg

That when Jen came up with the idea of going to 1900 Park fare. So went to the front desk and asked if there were any openings and she said yes just one.
She tried to get us in but the computer wouldn’t allow her since it was under and hour and said the best bet would be to try to go there.
So off we went on our mad dash to GF. We jumped on the bus to MK connected to the monorail and finally GF.
We got on the elevator went to the wrong floor lol (that was Jens fault) and finally made it to 1900 on a nice size line.
The CM fit us in with no problem! With a MINUTE within the open reservation time!
We were seated and told to help our selves.
1900 is a buffet that has stations that they serve food from different countries.
They introduce the characters and then they come around to the tables.
Only Cinderella and Prince came to us for some reason, but that’s okay.
PICT1454.jpg

So of course I had to try everything…
PICT1449.jpg

And Jen…
PICT1450.jpg

I can’t remember exactly what I ate but I recommend it. Mostly because of her…
PICT1457.jpg

The server even gave us a cupcake to congratulate us, thanks goodness we wore our pins.
PICT1452.jpg

PICT1456.jpg

We weren’t able to finish the cupcake because we had already eaten dessert, so, she gave us a box and we brought it home with us.

Home…sweet…Home!

We took a little walk- there weren’t that many people around and decided to enjoy the views… The WL is so beautiful at night by the way…
DSC_0315.jpg

DSC_0316.jpg

DSC_0324.jpg

So, we were finally home- in a hotel room- where THERE WERE NO TELEVISIONS…

And did I mention…. FIREWORKS VIEW?

DSC_0292.jpg

We were beyond excited…even though we were exhausted….
DSC_0287.jpg

So, we decided to grab some dessert from Old Faithful Lounge

DSC_0326.jpg

DSC_0285.jpg

DSC_0284.jpg

And some beer (to keep up relaxed) and vin got right to the drinking…in his all new MINE MINE mug!! Lol I am a huge MINE MINE fan by the way!

DSC_0286.jpg

We grabbed the journal that we decided to bring with us (that I worked super hard on) and started writing in it

DSC_0301.jpg

DSC_0312.jpg

Okay so it was definitely past our bedtime-
DSC_0310.jpg

Vin decided to walk to the other corridor and find the window that faced our room while I took pictures of him lol

DSC_0300.jpg

And before we could finish dessert….
DSC_0338.jpg

DSC_0340.jpg

We knew we had been rewarded for staying as calm as we had and we were so so happy!
PICT1461.jpg

Up Next…Day Four- Who Burned the Waffles? A guide to NOT getting to MK’s Crystal Palace too early…

The desserts were a buffet kind of thing too. I am trying to learn to load video so that I can show you guys what the inside looks like. Any pointers? lol...

Its the same as the pictures i had, but what it would be would be, on the left side would be magic cookie bars, brownies, cookies (sugar and chocolate) and then on the right side there was always a cobbler (blueberry, berry, chocolate, apple etc)

Then further down would be all the nightly liquors. I found my favorite thing there! Its a fruity bottle with an elephant...tastes a little like baileys with an orange taste to it...

I put it into my tea one day and OH MY GOD i wanted it every night!

Then there was the cappucini/hot chocolate/expresso/decaf/coffee/tea/water machine lol. And beer...always loads of beer.YUM. Those brownies were very cake tasting with a chocolate butter cream on top. I personally loved the magic cookie bar. It was a mix of coco nut, chocolate chips, peanut butter and i think caramel. Not sure though lol

The pool is unbelieveable. I have some more pics ill post another day but its jsut so wonderful. We had a great time and one day we find a special little area...we'll post that soon too!!

Its truely okay... I mean at the time- it stunk but there was no way we were going to have our honeymoon off to a bad start. Plus, chocolate covered pretzels always help with that!!!!!!!!!!

The fireworks are so amazing. Originally when we were getting married in WDW we wanted the private fireworks...BUT... this was better! IT was fireworks every night! lol

Mrsdisneyb2b-I love your journal how did you make that with the Disney pages or was it something that you bought. Been enjoying your TR. Sorry about WL.
