Omg, just when I think maybe its happening.
I called was told I had a fd pin attached to my name, cm gives me over to Grand Gatherings and they can't find it. I asked for a 16 digit pin code before he transferred me to Grand Gatherings, he said "just tell them you have HX #8. Well now here I sit on hold, losing my MIND while they try to find it saying I don't have one.
I swear to high heaven, Disney had better find this thing, I got my hopes up and now I am just beside myself!
ETA: They finally found it. It took me saying "give me a manager" to make it happen. They dug around (while I held in near heart failure, even my cool as a cucumber dh was beside himself) for about 15 minutes and oila, it was there. Basically with the increase in our nightly room rate, we are now eating for 14 nights for a total of $562. So its not free per se, but what a huge discount for a family of four (with two kids who are adults).
The guest services manager did tell me "our pin code system is a mess". Basically one cm saw it, nobody else could at first but then once a manager got involved it was found.
Very relieved, keep calling and don't give up because you never know! And make sure you immediately ask for the 16 digit pin code. That HX#8 the first cm told me to tell Grand Gatherings did nothing. They didn't even know what that was.
Also, this all got started when I read griz4's post up above because I also had a Disney Destinations hello email with a ten digit code on the bottom and thought maybe I should call to check. That is not a pin but I did have one.
