Every email BUT a PIN.

Does this happen to any of the other non PIN getters? I get emails from Disney all the time, including at least 2 a month from Disney Destinations, but I never get a PIN!! I'm clearly on the radar but I never seem to get the right one!! I've called as well, and nada.

Anyone else?

Yes, I just got an email from Disney Destinations last night..it was my "monthly Hello". No PIN though.

Up untill I actually booked our trip, I got PINS all the time that I couldn't use. Now all I get is the "Newsletters." I even got one from disney destinations last night that I thought was the free dining I've been hoping for, but it was just talking about Star Tours 2.

Yes, yes!!! My dh & I get email all the time from Disney. I did receive the room discount pin on Jan 7. I am keeping my finger crossing that we receive the fd pin. I aslo have called several time & talked to some very nice cms. No pin as of yet, but keep looking for it. I really need this pin tho.

I know its maddening! I have 3 yahoo accounts that I set up for the sole purpose of getting pins (or trying to) so when I see anything in my inbox, I know it will be something from Disney and its always been junk with one exception. A pin for Disneyland I couldn't use. Nothing ever for WDW.

I feel like the only kid in the class that didn't get invited to the cool birthday party!

I feel your pain! Done everything I'm supposed to do, multiple accounts, trip planning, ordering videos, blah blah blah. I ask about a pin every time I call, and it's always "No."

Sometimes reading this forum can be poison, because it can feel like everybody else--and their dentist, grandma, and dog too--get pins. I don't think that's necessarily accurate though. It's probably just how it feels because people naturally want to talk about their pins.

There's always hope for public discounts though.

I got the same e-mail and didn't realize that the number was there. I have been calling all week and told I don't have a PIN, but maybe another call is in order.

I had this happen before. I had the email from Disney Destinations and it didn't really mention the PIN but it was there way at the bottom. I barely noticed it.

I'm checking my email like crazy, just holding out hope that this pin comes through. I'm glad I'm not the only one, I was starting to feel like WDW was snickering at me because they know I need this PIN if I'm going to do summer travel. I hope we ALL get one quick, or they do offer the public option! ☺

I just called & the CM said it's a 16 digit code, not the one at the bottom of the March Hello email. Still waiting & hoping.

Omg, just when I think maybe its happening.

I called was told I had a fd pin attached to my name, cm gives me over to Grand Gatherings and they can't find it. I asked for a 16 digit pin code before he transferred me to Grand Gatherings, he said "just tell them you have HX #8. Well now here I sit on hold, losing my MIND while they try to find it saying I don't have one.

I swear to high heaven, Disney had better find this thing, I got my hopes up and now I am just beside myself!

ETA: They finally found it. It took me saying "give me a manager" to make it happen. They dug around (while I held in near heart failure, even my cool as a cucumber dh was beside himself) for about 15 minutes and oila, it was there. Basically with the increase in our nightly room rate, we are now eating for 14 nights for a total of $562. So its not free per se, but what a huge discount for a family of four (with two kids who are adults).

The guest services manager did tell me "our pin code system is a mess". Basically one cm saw it, nobody else could at first but then once a manager got involved it was found.

Very relieved, keep calling and don't give up because you never know! And make sure you immediately ask for the 16 digit pin code. That HX#8 the first cm told me to tell Grand Gatherings did nothing. They didn't even know what that was.

Also, this all got started when I read griz4's post up above because I also had a Disney Destinations hello email with a ten digit code on the bottom and thought maybe I should call to check. That is not a pin but I did have one.

Thank you so much, I am still not sure what all happened, but I got my email confirmation so I am happy.

I just hope everybody else on here lucks out too. I am sending good vibes out for sure!

And by the way, I just checked all my emails again, no pin sent yet. But it was in there, attached to my name. But for some unknown reason, only one cm could find it! I really do believe that had I not insisted the Grand Gatherings cm get me a manager and I had I not had the name of the first cm, I might not have gotten this today, I would have had to call back and hope for another cm to be able to find it.

Well worth the legwork and stress but if I wasn't a disboarder who had been reading all of these accounts on how other people had similar things come up, I wouldn't have know to persist!

So don't anybody else give up, just keep calling, you never know.
