Everest - When Does it Open and Height Requirements

Does anyone know when the new coaster Everest is supposed to open in Animal Kingdom? Any ideas what the height restriction will be?

From what I have been told, the height restriction will be 44".

I believe it "officially" opens in late April but DVC members are getting a free preview at the end of January.

And you have to be as tall as a Yeti footprint... which translates to 44".

From what I've read, grand opening is the first week of April. We are re-arranging our AK day to AVOID it! LOL
