Everest vs Mummy

Would like to know what the similarities and differences between the 2 rides are
I am not a great coaster fan, hate loops etc, but loved the Mummy, BTMRR and SpM
How will I do on EE?

Haven't actually ridden it myself yet, it was being built last time we went.

But from what I've read about it and the videos I've seen, you'll be fine. It looks to me like a cross between the mummy and BTMRR. There are no loops, but it does go backwards and make some people feel sick. Good luck and if you want to watch the video type in Expedition Everest, Disney on Google Video!!

If you like the Mummy, you'll like EE. Both rides have backwards portions, but I think EE goes backwards for a longer distance than the Mummy. Both are really nicely themed. EE doesn't seem as scary as the Mummy, no fire or beetles.

I agree. If you llike Mummy, you'll like EE. EE is really smooth! I think EE is so much fun.

everest has a steep drop, hairpin turns and u go inside a big cave where u see the yeti. when u reach the end u do the whole ride all over again except this time backwards. i would think that if u like the mummy u will like ee

I've been on all of them with DS7 and we love them all! (Except DS does not like Space Mountain as much) None of them have inverted loops or corkscrews. EE is both inside and outside with tight turns. It is a fast roller coaster with about a 20-30 second high speed backwards portion. Mummy is all indoors and mostly in the dark. The only backwards portion is moving you from one room to another and is very slow during this portion. The regular coaster portion is at high speed. I would recommend them both!

I have to disagree with anbouk's posts. You do NOT do the whole ride backwards. I find EE reminds me more of BTRR than Mummy with its tight turns. There is no big drop, just the curves, and EE is very smooth. The backwards section is brief, feels like it might be a helix. If you can do BTRR, I think you can love EE. The theming throughout the queue and the ride is wonderful. Disney's Imagineers did well

I don't think you can compare them, but if you were fine on Mummy then EE will be a breeze. Mummy is in it's own category for rides/attractions. EE is more like BTR but smooth and more exciting and the going backwards inside is probably the best of it. Yeti extremely well done, but it is only seconds of the ride.

I'm not a big coaster fan either, but like BTMRR and the Mummy. EE, to me, seems to be a combination of both. The hill in EE is a little higher than BTMRR, and you go backwards faster and farther than on the Mummy, but it is not one of the steep drop coasters. I think you will enjoy EE. We did it twice because the first time I was so nervous, I didn't remember seeing the Yeti. Have fun!

I have not been on EE, but did ride Mummy... I liked it, but I was a bit disapointed with it... I watched some info on the net and everything and they made it to be so much more wicked... I just hope that EE will live up to what was shown on tv and on the internet.

you'll be fine on EE it's not bad! and I don't really like coasters.
I loved the mummy though!! thats my favorite coaster of all time!!!
