I've been to DisneyWorld more than a few times and I love it more now than ever before. Does anyone ever get bored with Disney?

Never! I think the more you go, the more relaxed you are and you take in the *little* things.

I wouldn't say bored at all. WDW is a great place to spend a vacation but after having lived down there for several years, & visited the past two, I'll be taking a break from WDW. There are so many other places in the world to visit and spend my so my son & I will be going to London this year - can't wait!!!!:wave2:

The reason I asked is because all my family and friends ask me WHY everytime I tell them I am going back. I have gone the last few years and going again and they always ask me "Don't you ever get tired of Disney/Orlando"

Of course I say no way...it's a magical place for my kids and myself. I'm afraid to go anywhere else because my standards have beeen set high with Disney. If I go elsewhere and don't match up to Disney, I'd be mad.

Just making sure I wasn't the only one spending thousands every year to go to the same place.

DH and I were just talking about this the other day. Most people can't believe we go to WDW once a year. I said to DH that I can't believe we go to WDW only once a year! :D

I'll be making it three years in a row at the end of January. WDW is a very special place and I'll be going back eventually. However, I have to agree that there are other places on Earth! I lucked out on a good room rate this trip without an AP. In my mind, offering great room rates with an AP doesn't do it for me. Make the rates cheaper for everyone (it'll fill more rooms on property thereby selling more meals etc. to on-site guests) and let AP'ers get their discount by not having to buy theme park tickets, meal specials, etc. Plus, I'm getting tired of seeing such great ticket prices for Florida Residents only (play 4), and DisneyLAND tickets but not for everyone at WDW. Great if you can get them, but not if you can't. With travel prices as they are now, we will be going tropical or to Europe in the late spring vs. another WDW trip. If we can spend a week internationally for the same price or less than a Disney vacation (even with AP prices if I had one), I can only justify going so often.

Count me in on never being tired of WDW. Every time I start to plan a trip anywhere else I just change my mind and focus on WDW. I'd rather not go anywhere one year and save up for a longer trip to WDW the following year. But it kills my to even think of not going for more than a year. I think every 6 months or so would satisfy me. But the thing I'd love more than any other thing is to live within daytrip distance. AP would be in my wallet and I'd be there as often as possible.

Tired of Disney, not really. Do I visit as much as others, no.
I think that's what makes our trips so special. It's the time in between our trips. First year was 1998, the next year was 2001, and our next trip will be 2006. For me, trips are more special when there are long gaps between them.
I for one can't afford to go as much as others, nor do I have a desire to. I do LOVE Disney and will never tire of it.

I though I was bored with Disney after my past trip in August. However, after some time, I realized I just did not have a good trip...it wasn't Disney itself. Disney was sort of a last minute decision, so I was without all of thet pretrip planning excitement. As well, the weather wasn't the best, the crowds were busier than normal, our kids weren't on their best behavior, and we had a bad experience at the All Star Sports that sort of put a damper on everything.

Now, being forced to plan this year's vacations, Disney is again at the top of the list. Our touring has evolved from "do it all" to a more leisurely relaxed pace. I figure that as long as we have multiple weeks of vacation available, we will always do Disney at least once a year.:sunny:

In 1970 we went to Disneyland and then to WDW a few years later. After 20+ trips we still go at least once a year, sometimes twice. We go with kids/grandkids, the 2 of us, or occasionally with friends. Yes-most people don't get it and question our sanity but it doesn't phase us.We joined DVC(96) and go whenever we can stretch the wallet enough. I don't know if I will ever grow tired of WDW.:earsboy:

6 years in row and still love it. Went last April during Easter week, and worried about the crowds. Once there, the crowds didn't matter, still had a great time.

I will NEVER get tired of Disney. Since being out of college, I have gone one to three times per year and always have something new and exciting to discover.
Now I just wish my boyfriend had the same attitude!

My husband and I are dealing with this "problem" right now. My son, 17 and my daughter, 21, refuse to go to Disney "again" anytime soon. The last time either of them was there was 1 1/2 years ago!! Son says, there's nothing "new" there, and my daughter, thinks it's just not "cool" to go there - even with her friends!! Can you imagine??

SO, hubby and I are leaving next Sunday - 1/18 for 5 days by ourselves. We're tired of waiting for everyone to be on the same page - and my husband gets Disney withdrawal so bad!!

We were nervous about going just by ourselves - would we be feeling strange without the kids?? Well, we got over that fast - now we can do the things that we've always wanted to see, but the kids had always thought were too slow or "boring" before!!

I haven't been bored with Disney yet!

No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No!

Whenever I get tired of being a "theme park Commando", there is always time for lounging around the resort or going to a water park for variety.

Don't get tired of Disney but do get tired of the crowds. Was happy to come home after our 8 day stay.

I've been every other year since 97. Four trips. We take the even years off and try to do something else, something less expensive. I generally look at those years as ok let's get this one out of the way so I can start planning my WDW trip. Someone early said that their friends didn't understand the frequent trips. Until you have experienced it, you really can't explain it very well to someone. You have to have done it to get it. Some people I just don't even tell that I'm going again. So, no I'm not tired of it, doubt I ever will be. If I could afford it I buy into DVC and go more often...

Bored with Disney??
UMMM NOPE not me

i can't imagine it ever getting boring
we go every other year
and always see something different

Not me, for sure!! Just find DD gets a little jaded in her perspective if we go too often, like not being satisfied if she cannot be the first to get into the boat, etc...
When that happens, we cancel the upcoming trip (this past December) and wait for her to start to really miss it. The problem is I MISS IT MORE!!! Found that out this past December...ended up booking for April, June, Oct and Dec for 2004...thank goodness for living within a reasonable driving distance and buying into DVC last trip down.... oh yes, and annual passes are a must, as well...
If I could I would LIVE in WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hail to the MOUSE :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
