Ever had anything confiscated?

I added these questions to my list for when I call DCL.

I will ask them to email me for verification, thanks for that idea.

Curling and Flat irons are allowed according to the response I got back from Disney.

7/25/11

Dear Melissa,

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line vacation!

I would be happy to assist you.

Curling irons and flat irons may be brought onboard as long as they
support the ship's electrical system.

You will find your stateroom to have the following electrical outlets:
-Two (2) 220V and two (2) 120V outlets are located at the desk
-One (1) 220V and one (1) 120V outlets are near the bedside table

These universal plugs will accommodate both 120V and 220V electrical
plugs.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you!

Have a Magical Day!

Awesome that's great to know I don't have to walk around with scary hair!!:cutie:

Warning about curling irons and flat irons...the outlets aren't as convenient as you might have at home and you don't have options. DIS had a curling iron, and her DS grabbed the cord and pulled it down and seriously burned his hand and foot. There was just no good place to plug it in and then let it cool.

Lesson: When hot, do not leave it unattended.

I bought a heat proof sleeve for my curling iron so when I am done I can still put it away and not worry about burning anything.

I know no scuba gear, but what about a snorkel? We own our own snorkel and fins.

I take my own mask and snorkel, I will NOT put a snorkel in my mouth that is not my own. We have taken fins, but they take up way too much room, and they are not light weight, so unless we were driving, they stay home. I have never had an issue with the mask and snorkel. I believe they do not want you to bring your own air tank.

i would imagine a plug in fan would not be approved. I have seen battery operated fans that work well, that might be a possibility.

As previously posted, yes plug in fans can be used. Your SRH will know if it is one that needs to be check out by the electrician. Mine is a 4 inch fan (metal) and very well made (sturdy, well secured cords/plugs). Be sure and turn it off when you aren't in the room.

Speaking of fans, how cool can you make the cabins with the onboard AC? DW and I like to sleep in a chilly room with tons of blankets....nothing worse than trying to sleep in a hot room

IF your lowest setting doesn't do the job, let your room steward know and they can re-adjust it. Sis and I sleep in VERY chilly rooms and have never had a problem on the Magic or Wonder.

(We just did a road trip this weekend and I think she was very successful in freezing me out this time....three blankets!)

Great to know, thanks! :thumbsup2

When we stay at the Hojo across the street from Disneyland, we literally turn our room into a meat locker and then have a pile of blankets. Glad I am not the only one!
