Ever Given/Received a Random Act of Kindness at WDW?

CDRN1 - Cast members are allowed to give their tickets as gifts. They are not allowed to sell them. So the cast member did nothing wrong. I'm sure she was just glad that they didn't go to waste. I bet it would have made him/her even happier to know that someone who was doing something so nice for others used them.

Great thread. I always try to take photos for people. This past trip was my birthday and everyone was great, people sang and wished my happy birthday. I was on the Figment ride with a woman whose birthday was the same day as mine and she said "Now I'll remember you forever ." I thought that was so neat. My real story is of a CM on the Carousel I think her name was leighanne? I'll have to check with mom. Anyway, I told my mom that after 25 years of riding the carousel I just learned that there was a special Cinderella horse. She loves Cindy and wanted to know which one it was. I kept looking for the ribbon tailed one, but kept missing it so we asked the CM and she pointed it out. Our turn came, but someone was on that horse. We walked back to the line and the CM said "did we run our of horses?" My mom said, "no, but the one I want has someone elses fanny on it, can we wait for the next turn?" (she really did say fanny) The CM smiled and let us back into the line. A bunch of little kids were there as well, when the ride stopped she walked over, opened the chain and made the kids wait while my mom got her horse. Then the CM said " I want you to know that you made my day." we asked why and she said "I have been yelled at, sworn at and almost threatened by parents because their children didn't the horse they want. YOu were so nice to ask." My mom and I said that we were sorry she had been treated so badly. The ride started and we rode it three times, until it closed. We spoke a little longer to the CM and wished her a good day, she was so nice to us, I just wish people didn't treat her so badly.

I also will give up my spot to view the parade to little kids who would like to see better. I've given directions to people in the parks when they appear lost. And on our last day I always look for someone to give our extra pop to. It's a good feeling to be helpful at Disney.

Wow!!!! I also do that too. I thought I was alone.Somone in my family (not telling ) likes to say they gave up their seat to the others and me.You are very helpful to me.

My DW and I went on the Disney Wonder's maiden voyage a few years ago. At some point (I think it wasn't too far off Castaway Cay), everyone was treated to a prearranged visit from the Disney Magic. It pulled up along side us at sea and everyone took turns waving back and forth between ships. We were fortunate enough to have a verandah on the side facing the Magic so I had some good photo opportunities. I quickly went through the remainder of my roll of film and was about to head down to the photo shop to get another when a man on the verandah next to us heard and offer me an extra roll of film. This was great because the Magic was due to pull away shortly and I didn't want to miss it be being several decks below. I can't even remember the gentleman accepting any payment. The funny thing was, several months later when I had the film developed ( I don't go through that many rolls), I got slides back instead of photos!! I guess that's the kind of film he was using that day.

I never much thought of it but on our first trip we gave away our MNSSHP tickets to a family. Our son had had an awful asthma attack and we felt he couldn't handle it. At the time, the DI was showing movies and we just saw this dressed up family and handed the tickets to them. They were pretty excited and ran to the party!

I give away poncho's every year.
We buy so many for our trip, I always have 3 or so with me. If I'm leaving or don't need them, I hand them out.

In june, we were leaving the MK and it was a down pour. Since we were leaving, I had no need to use my ponchos. I had two, still in their little sealed bag. On the way out I saw a man and his wife, I said "Hey want some free ponchos?" The guy looked at me like "NO WAY!" And thanked me very much

The wife was so excited she couldn't even WAIT to open them up! I felt good after that

I do like to offer to take people's pictures for them. In May I was traveling without the family so I didn't have the need to take pics of me. People we pleased to have someone offer to take their pics. Sometimes people seem shocked by the offer.

Years ago, when I was much less experienced in Disney my husband and I took a kid free trip to WDW. We were staying at All Star Sports. We planned for dinner at Maya grill at Coronado Springs. by the time we got done with dinner all the theme parks were closed for the night. That meant we would have had to take transportation to Downtown Disney and switch there to another bus to take us back to All Star Sports. We were exhausted after a full day of touring and then dinner. When a bus pulled up, headed to DD we hopped on. It was empty except for the driver and one other passenger. We started to talk to the driver and he asked where we were headed. We told him our ultimate goal and he asked the other passenger if he would mind an extra stop. The guy didn't mind so the bus driver took us straight to the All Stars. It was a nice burst of pixie dust.

I'm not sure if this is a random act of kindness, but it sure was cute. A few days ago I went to Disneyland by myself for the day. I decided to go on It's a Small World for old time's sake, plus the air conditioning. There was a large party behind me, I was assigned the first row, and the family behind me took up the rest of the boat. As we were boarding a three year old boy hopped in to the front of the boat where I was assigned to sit. The father then said to me, "this is his first time on this ride and he really wanted to sit in the front of the boat because he thinks he will be able to see better. Do you mind sharing it with him"? Well of course I was happy to have a buddy after being by myself all day, and we rode in the front of the boat together! The expressions on this little boys face were priceless. I had more fun watching him than I did watching the singing dolls.
