How crazy or into it, do the cruiser get?My daughter has studied voice for 11 years and has 3 Disney songs (Into The Woods-On The Steps Of The Palace, Cinderella-A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes, Tangled-I See The Light). She has several 1st place State Awards and the lead in school and local musicals. DD is 16.
What would you like to hear of the above options?
Should we bring her other poofy formal also or just re-wear suitcase friendly formal from Formal Night?
Any suggestions?

I just checked the 6/6/16 Alaskan cruise personal navigators.

Day 1, Talent Show Signup--Pre-register at Port Adventures Desk, Deck 3, midship: Let your family take center stage and strut their stuff. Everyone has a talent, it's time to show off yours.

Day 7, at sea, is when the actual talent show takes place. Family Talent Show, Wavebands, deck 3, forward, 7:30PM: Your fellow guests have rehearsed and are ready to show off their talents.

Thank you, I never found that info without you.
Magic does,
when I was on the Wonder on longer cruises it did.
My children have entered them.

Have either of you been to or participated in a show?

My guess is that if its at Wavebands versus the Walt Disney theater its more informal. That said we didn't go because the timing interfered with dinner and the show.

You're welcome! I've been looking through previous navigators to get ready for our cruise and remembered seeing the words 'talent show.'

Nope, the 8/8/16 DCL Alaskan cruise will be our first ever cruise!

My daughter participated on the Wonder last fall. There were only 3 performers. It was very informal.

My son has done it previously & like the others have said, it's extremely informal. There were 5 other participants the last time he did it, 3 were from the same family. The majority of the crowd is the family of the performers, so it's extremely low key and lots of fun. The kids get a "Thank You" certificate for performing.

Here's a post-show photo. I was forbidden from recording the actual performance.
