Ever Been Mistaken for a CM?

Thanks for al the feedback. I had no idea it happened to so many people besides me.

When I first started wearing my Guest Of Honor Badge it was like everyone in the line was asking me questions.I really enjoyed it. Even when I checked In at Hotel I was wearing a V.I.P. Badge back then they they all though I was someone important I really got a bang out of that one. I was treated real nice. Never got an upgrade though.

Yes it happens to me frequently. I also think it has to do with my lanyard and my back stage tour pins on it. I just find it very amusing that someone wearing jeans for example would be thought of as a cm. I mean cm's are very clearly uniformed.

Same thing happens to me and I think it's the lanyard together with the cards (AP or DVC Member) I keep in the plastic sleeve at the end of it.

Like Skylarr29 said, the CM's are very clearly uniformed so I'm always a bit puzzled by people thinking I am one!

Yep GOH badges will do that for you. DH and I have the gold ones and people all ways ask us why are our gold. One guy insisted that dh was security. We get asked alot of questions when we wear them.

What, you mean you don't change your outfit to fit the land you are in as you go through the parks? :teeth:

Love my GOH badge, get lots of CM-type questions and do my best to answer them, or at least point the folks to a real CM who can!

All the time. I too try to answer the questions I'm asked to the best of my ability. It is normally how to get to a certain ride or restaurant or attraction from where we are at the time or what time a parade or event is to start and most of the time because of my anal planning I know!! Gotta love those GOH badges. My DS has one too and he says, how come no one asks me those questions Mom?!

In my case of mistaken CM identity, I had actually wore a yellow and white short sleeve oxford shirt and yellow shorts to the park....think parking attendent shirts. Throughout the day the CMs in the various shops at Epcot asked me how my day was going and how busy my shift had been. It was nice chatting with them all, but I have since retired that shirt from all Disney World vacations. :rotfl:

A couple of times, during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I wore my town crier costume from the Yankee Peddler Festival. When I was in Liberty Square, one person came up to me and asked me for candy. Another very desparate mom asked where the nearest restroom was. Although I did not share my candy, I did do my best CM impersonation and pointed (with two fingers) towards the nearest restroom.
