Ever approach someone in Lime Green who wasn't a Dis'er?

Just curious about this! I have been seeing a lot of people this summer in lime green and just wondered if anyone, at WDW, has ever asked someone wearing lime green if they were from the DIS board? And, if they weren't, what was the reaction?

I know that I will be obsessed with this color when I get there next month, so I am just feeling out the responses from non-Disboard members who are approached! Thanks....

yep, last January. He had a lime green ribbon tied to his backpack. I asked him, "Do you Dis?". The puzzled look on his face answered my question.

I have never actually in all of my time seen a green ribbon that I would associate with the DIS. I wouldn't just go up to someone in a lime green shirt. They might think I was a bit wacky!! For some reason not everyone seems to get "The DIS."

I have only run into one other DISer before, but it was at King's Island not WDW. I knew there was a possibility he might be there at the same time I was. I saw him behind us in a line for a coaster (had seen his picture on the boards before so I knew what he looked like) but wasn't absolutely sure. We were in a looping type of queue and ours was going by his. I asked him if he was from the DIS boards, and when he said yes, I told him that we were as well and mentioned our screen names. We couldn't chat as the lines were moving. That is my one and only experience seeing a DISer at a theme park.

Oh my gosh...what a funny post! Last Sept. we stayed at WL for the 1st time and I had gotten really into this site so I had my family tie lime green ribbons on everything. I was so excited and certain I would run into SOMEONE from here...well, at the airport, getting luggage I spot another bag w/ a lime green ribbon so I wait and pounce on the person who grabbed the bag. OF COURSE they were not a DISser! They thought I was quite the weirdo and my family has tortured me endlessly over the event!
We still laught about it! I am very hesitant now!

This might explain why no one seems to run into other DISers. They're all afraid of the strange looks.

Maybe DIS should come up with a "secret hand code" or something to go along with the ribbon.....

I've done it plenty of times. Sometimes it's a DISer and sometimes it's someone who put the lime green ribbon on their backpack so they could spot it easily at the airport luggage carrousel. It was worth the "hello" though
