Events in May

Is there any particular events or conventions (other than Memorial Day) during May that would cause more than normal crowds. i.e Labor Day, 4th of July. I know I was down there during the middle of July one year and one of our tour guides told us that alot of tour groups from South America visit during July.

The 2nd Annual Disney Inline Skating Marathon will be on May 2. Last year, there were 1500 skaters. They are planning on doubling that amount this year. I don't remember the crowds being that large after the race last year, but it might make a difference the week before and/or after the race this time around .

Possibly the Flower and Garden Show at Epcot might bring in an increase.

Also, if not many replies here, maybe repost back where you had originally asked, lots of folks there too. Just a thought.

Star Wars weekends are typically in May (or at least late May) at the Studios. This usually means Saturdays at that park are quite busy for the season as lots of locals come over. We've gone the last two years over Memorial Day (which coincides with our anniversary) and it's not too bad. It's just at the right time -- close to the end of school for most -- so that people with school-age kids don't take them out to visit, which helps keeps the crowds down. Even with the holiday, it's a great time to visit.
