I've not seen an updated answer: Is it possible to still eat at a restaurant during evening magical hours? I have made plans for AK in the morning & DHS for EMH. I just don't want to miss Fantasmic. (Call me a sucker  for the shows. :lovestruc) So, based on all my planning the only time I can fit Sci Fi in will be after the show. IF they are still open. Disney Dining had no clue as to what I was trying to ask. They just kept telling me that the restaurants closed when the park does. :headache: When I called back, (different person/answer:scared:) they said that it depended on the hours, but wouldn't let me make a ressie, or explain why I couldn't!! They just kept repeating the EMH for all the different parks.

TIA for all your help!!

When we were there in Dec. we had a res at 50's PTC at 9:05. It came with a warning that you needed to be eligible for emh.

Yes, we've eaten at Epcot during EMH. Quite a few of the TS restaurants were seating until 10 PM (EMH started at 9 PM).

It looks like you're going in May so reservations are already open for that month so you can go to the Disney dining reservation page, put in the date and time you want for Sci Fi and see if anything is available. The search will check 2 hours before and after the time you choose. If Sci Fi is seating during EMH and there is an available time it will come up.

The call center CMs are not always helpful because many of them are in locations far away from Florida and/or have never even been to DisneyWorld. As you have found they often give canned or generic answers which aren't helpful.

Here's a link to the dining reservation page:

Thanks for the link. Idk why, but when I looked earlier, it said only 8:40 was available. Then I used your link & I scored ressies for 9:50. :confused3 Go figure. So I guess you brought me extra luck! :rotfl:
