Evening Extended Hours at Epcot and Crowd Level

Hi everyone! We will be in Disney next week and our Epcot day has extended evening hours. We are lucky to be staying in a Deluxe Villa this trip and able to take part in the EEH! Is everything opened during the EEH? How are the crowds? Just wondering if there will be long wait times. Are characters around to do a meet and greet? Thank you!

Not sure about crowd level. But at 6pm there's a new VQ drop for Guardians for those eligible for EEH.

Part of the WS shuts down (China to Morroco??). No characters but all the rides are open. I’ve always found the crowds to be fairly low but there are still people queued up when the park closes at 9pm

Our experience with EEH at Epcot isn’t as good as MK. Although we have only been in March when it’s busy for spring break so the waits have been kinda long (not as long as during the day though).

The first year we got in line for Soarin around 8. By the time we were done with that and got to Test Track it was about 915ish. Got off after 10. Posted waits at Frozen and Remy were around 45 minutes. We were going to do both. Went to Remy. Got off after 11.

This year we got in line for Test Track at 840 and took an hour before we were off. Rode GoG with a VQ then got to Remy at 1045 and we’re off at 1110.

The VQ helped being able to ride the third ride this year. But if they get rid of that in our experience we would only get two rides in two hours.

Things being so spread out doesnt help. If you stay in one area you can probably get more done (maybe do Frozen, Test Track, Mission, Guardians).

Going on the 11th to Epcot EH. Also hoping the crowds are reasonable. Love to be in the parks in Dec!

It's a little harder to get a lot done now because Test Track is closed. There aren't nearly as many attractions at Epcot (unlike MK), so there still tend to be lines at the headliners. Frozen and Remy allow day guests in line until park close, and deluxe resort guests get in line behind them (meaning no separate line for deluxe resort guests), so it could still be an hour wait, and that could take up your first hour of the two. All the festival food booths are closed, so eat before! And as another poster mentioned, most of World Showcase is roped off. Definitely try for a Guardians VQ at 6pm, that way you can get in at least two of the "big rides".

I did it in April, not too many people around. We did Moana and Soarin (walk on), then headed out through the WS to Boardwalk. There was a drink cart open around Canada. My friend got a beer, not realizing you can’t take it out the exit.

Living with the land is not open during extended hours. So if you’re planning to see the glimming greenhouse, make sure you do it before park closes. I like to do it right before closing and then Soarin is a walk on.
