We're in Anaheim at the end of August and have made reservations (park hopper tickets) for Disneyland on Sat Aug 24 and DCA on Sunday Aug 25. We now have learned that Sunday Aug 25 is Oogie Boogie night at DCA, with the park closing to us at 6pm (which would give us enough time at DCA that day). I am unsure about how the special event on that weekend would affect attendance. Does it make sense to leave the reservations that way, with DCA on the day of the special event, or would it be wise to switch the DCA reservation to Saturday morning instead and start at Disneyland on the OB day.

Thanks in advance for your expertise!
Jef

Since you have park hoppers it would be fine to keep them they way they are, especially if you are rope dropping DCA that morning. DCA should not be too bad that day prior to 3pm (when the party mix-in occurs). From 3pm to 6pm it will be extremely busy so if you can hop to DL at 3pm it would be best.

I am assuming you did not want to see World of Color at DCA. If you did, you would want to switch your park days so you can see it.

Since they have hoppers, why couldn't they go to WOC on Saturday without changing their starting park?
