I`ve been told to avoid the evening EMH at MK, but what about AK? Since it closes earlier than the other parks I was thinking of taking advantage of this perk. Hopefully it isn`t as crowded as MK. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

DW and I went at the end of June and found AK EMH was the most enjoyable. We arrived around 5 and got a FP for Dinosaur and then had dinner. We were able to get on the last Safari ride which was at 7:30. It was quiet and quite fun. We also went on Primeval Whirl, Tricerotop Spin and A Bug's Life where there was no line and we could have gone on again and again. We were going to go on Dinosaur again, but the line was about 30 minutes and we were just too tired to wait. Overall, it was a positive experience if you only need to do and see a few things.

During Evening EMH at AK, you can have dinner there? Which resturaunts (I know they're all counter serve) are/is open? And since you went recently, did you find it to be much less hot in AK in the evening? It seems hotter there during the day, does it (I hope) seem less hot in the evening?

We actually ate at Flame Tree just prior to closing. I do not know what else was open. Most people feel AK is the hottest park (We agree!!!). It can get very hot there and it did seem cooler which made the experience more enjoyable.

Wow, a fellow Rensselaer County DISer, cool. We live in Troy.

Did you get a chance to do the Safari? Wondering how the animals were in the early evening hours.

That's amazing. It really is a small world after all. Rensselaer County or bust!!

We did go on one of the last safari rides. We have heard good things about the final tours, small groups, longer tours, more info and more animal activity. We always enjoy the animals but it was pretty similar to any other tour and the supposed increased animal activity was not really noticable to us, but it was still a lot of fun, as always.
