Evening before the 1/2...dinner?

Coach, I learn so much from your posts. I've been wondering about salt. Is it something you recommend trying? I'm generally really low in that category. And what do you buy? Thanks!

I am learning so much too. I am a REAL newbie. I have never considered my diet. I am going to have to work on that one. Anyone know of any good DISboards posts, websites, or books that will layout some good meal plans?:stir:

I never eat pasta the night before long runs or races. It gives me GI issues. I carb up with rice. Sushi rolls are my favorite pre-race meal. I guess I go against the grain (pun intended).

Pizza can be a good source too if it is light on the cheese and no sausage. I PRd once on Hawaiian pizza the night before the race. Veggie can be good too.

For DL half this year I'm going for pasta for early lunch and then a light pizza at CPK for early dinner.

This reminded me of Dean Karnazes story in his book Ultra-Marathon Man of pulling out his cell phone while in the middle of a 200 mile run (the race was supposed to be a relay, but he was running it himself) and ordering a Hawaiian Pizza delivered to him on the run in the middle of the night - when his support crew were sleeping.
