.*Even Miracles Take A Little Time.* A Beyond Birthdays PTR ~Complete~

I would vote for G-3! He would be the easiest to carry around! Also he looks like the only one who isn't a plush, so he wouldn't get dirty during travel :thumbsup2 My dog's name is Kally, by the way, and she's a girl :goodvibes I can upload a picture later, if you want, and I have to show you my guinea pigs!

Also, I have absolutely no idea on all of those pictures  Seriously..no idea! Good update!!

Alright, sounds like a good choice. I'll be tallying up votes throughout the PTR, but those are good reasons, so I may use him :thumbsup2

Awwww... what breed of dog is she? Unless you mentioned it LOL... I'd love to see pictures if you want to same with the guinea pigs :goodvibes Always nice to see others pets. :D

Hahaha, well... I'll give you a hint since they are pretty hard... hmmm... they aren't in the vicinity of the Magic Kingdom.

We don't want to seem like stalkers but we have the answers to most of your 'riddles'.

Anyway the youngest grandson says you are a traitor because your client isn't even in the running to accompany you to WDW!:rolleyes1

Where oh where is Pluto?:confused3

STALKER!

Tessie, manners.

Sorry Master... :(

Sorry about her... Well, I shouldn't be surprised, you pretty much religiously follow all my TRs  Not that that's a bad thing or anything Hahaha But, which "riddles", the pictures or the questions? Because we aren't doing the questions anymore... sorry, but if you do know the answers I'll tell you if they are right or not, remember to write in super secret white text.

Oh... my client wishes to make no comment ;)... Actually, I don't have him as a plush at all. I know, I'm a total traitor :guilty: I would've gotten him, but my mom got Goofy mixed with Pluto when she bought the whole family Disney plush for Easter, so I had Goofy instead, but Pluto is still my main man. But now you bring it up, maybe I will go find him somewhere and ask him to come... he's making guest appearances at the Mall currently :teeth:

I'm here Timmy!

Awww, thanks for the shout out on the mascot. Of course, I HAVE to weigh in here. I would go with G-3. A LGA would be legend.......wait for it.......DARY!

Oooo... a new reader! Welcome (: She sounds familiar... have I met you before?

Of course not, A. Unless... wait, is that the one who posted the video of the boy waiting for a belly rub?

Yeah... uhh... no I think he was just tired or not very happy with his food.

Call it what you will, but he wanted a BELLY. RUB!

*whispers* Pfft... he wanted better food.

How could he want better food? He was...

QUIET NOW! GO TO BED!

I'm here Timmy!

Well... I think yours was the first TR I read with a mascot and I was very entertained so you HAD to be mentioned :thumbsup2 Oh, another for G-3, hmmm... now that I type it I need to think of a better name... maybe Al Gore because he's green and all *ba dum chink* Oooo... legendary, I may have to put more thought into this right now ::yes::

P.S. I love your new profile picture! A Priceless Donald Face :thumbsup2

I'm in! :cool1: Your trip sounds like it's going to be so much fun!

I love that your dog is named Tessie, I'm assuming you must be a huge Red Sox fan, right? I am too, I'm actually trying to figure out when I have time to get to a game this year, since I haven't been to one all season!

Oh look, someone appreciates are presence, Big T!

YES! So happy you could join Disneypolyprincess! (: Hope you enjoy following along with us!

Well... they spoke for themselves on that one hahahaha

Actually the grandsons like your trip reports and those of the other kids close in age to the two of them.
They need to get their own user Id's so they can comment on their own but try telling a teenager what to do...:lmao:

I follow about 10 trip reports and 3 pre-trip reports right now in addition to yours and the others that the boys like.
You are entertaining but my favorite is the IOA board or the 'adult' reports which talk about 'food'. :rotfl2:

OOOHHH.. well I'm glad they are enjoying it (: And the totally should join. Try to tempt them with the Teen Board, a lot of kids my age over there :thumbsup2

Ooooo... I'm like a crazy TR maniac, I'm reading a little over 30. I think only... 3 or 4 of those are PTRs and a few are supposed to end soon :/

Thanks I like being entertaining! (:

LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS...

You know how to finish that, but I'll do it myself "To defeat... the huns! Did-" Yeah I'll cut myself off there. I decided this update would be the best time to start getting into more of the specifics of this trip after I kinda went off-track with the fun stuff :rolleyes1 Anyways, before, I start telling you more about this trip, I wanted to let you know currently G-3, my little green army guy, who I've now decided to rename Al Gore (:rotfl2:) is the mascot to be and there has been another nomination for a new mascot so it's still up-in-the-air. Also, nobody has yet to PM me answers for this round's WITW. Because I noticed these are VERY hard. I will give you some hints-

Hint #1: Neither is in the vicinity of the Magic Kingdom
Hint #2: There is no definitive relationship between the two places

Also, I want to add, one of them can have two different answers. I will give whoever gives the more specific an extra point. :D So I hope to receive some PMs soon ;)

I also have some other news, one's bad and one's good. The bad news is, Nate, the one who is supposed to go on this trip, is moving. His family has been trying to move for years and he alerted me this summer it might actually happen and now he is moving in a week's time :( I was upset since as I said, we are very close friend and I also had this trip on the mind and he was the friend I was wanting most to come. So, at the time this had been new news to me, I thought this would be a three person trip not four...

I then got an email back from him about all that was happening and he still wants to come. He has gone to other countries on his own, so Florida would be no problem and he was not out, so this is the good news and the paragraph above is the bad. The only problem with this is being in another state, his vacations are different, which could be a problem for our trip, but we'll see how that carries out.

Alright, now onto the update...

As I said, nothing is really set in stone for this trip except it will be either a 4, 5 or 6 day trip. I've started crunching numbers and I'm nowhere near finishing filling out my spread sheet, but I do have dates and resorts I'm looking into. I'll start with the original date for this trip--

The original date for this trip was to leave on my birthday, May 9th. This would mean on a 4 day trip, we would leave on the twelfth; five day, the thirteenth; and six day, the fourteenth. The problem with this is, it is not during a school vacation, which would mean all of us could lose up to three days of school and my mom could lose some sick time since she follows the school schedule for work, so this will most likely not happen, but I'll just leave it up since it is the date of the countdown in my sig.

The next date I've been looking into is February 26th, which is the same time that I went with school on my most recent trip. This is during a school holiday and we can fit all the days we want to go before vacation ends and going far into the weekend. This also is the only date that is during the Free Dining offer and after crunching a few numbers, during value season. For the four days, we would leave the 29th; five days, the first of March; and six days, the second of March. I like this one a lot though we usually have a vacation planned for the family under this which could be a problem.

Our next date is for April 22nd, which also is planned during a vacation. This was also around the time we went on my first ever trip. This would be for me, the ideal time to go. The crowds were very low when I was here last and we also had the Flower & Garden Festival going on. It was very fun. Sadly, Free Dining is over before this one, but I think this may be in a value season so it could mean for discounts. As of now, I'm shooting for this one the most. The days we would love are, for four days, the 25th, five days, the 26th and six days, the 27th.

Lastly, is our only summer date of June 26th. This would be a last resort for us. My mom isn't a fan of Disney in the summer though she did it for years when she went down for conventions in her credit union league days. I would like to see what I think and also, this date is the more likely during a time when I'm actually 16. We also could remove the Universal trip for this one since I'm now interested in the Keys to the Kingdom tour and we would all be 16 by this trip and I think that would be fun. Still, this would be our last resort. For the days we would leave, for four days, the 29th, five days, the 30th and six days, the first of July.

There you have it the days I'm looking into. I'm still crunching numbers and haven't gotten into the April and June range, so yeah... a lot of pricing to be made. But with that pricing, I have to have resorts chosen. I decided on three different resorts from the three different levels (Value, Moderate and Deluxe), since I think we could squeeze into any of those, it just depends on money and who's willing to pay what. Let's start with the value--

POP CENTURY

I've heard many good things about this resort. It is basically the only value I'm interested in. I have stayed at All Star Music before and I've heard Pop is the best value on property so I definitely want to stay there. I also want to try the infamous Tie-Dyed Cheesecake! I also want to check out the construction of AoA from here. At this moment, I think this may be our resort.

Next, is our moderate--

PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE

This, out of the three, is the resort I want to stay at the most. It also would be my first moderate, since I've never stayed at a moderate, so I'm really shooting for us to go here. There are also pluses to this resort, like boats to DTD and some of the surrounding resorts (Can you take a boat to Old Key West?). I really want to show my mom Downtown Disney since we missed it on our last trip and I've enjoyed it there with the entertainment and extra shopping to do. I also need my Ghirardelli fix. I haven't heard much about Riverside, more-so French Quarter, but I like the theming and the room-styling, so if anyone could give me their opinion on the place I'd love to hear it.

And lastly the Deluxe--

WILDERNESS LODGE

disneysarah073.jpg

Borrowed from Erin's (mimiloveswdw)'s Trip Report

Even though, I'm really hoping to stay at POR, I definitely can't pass this place up. From the pictures, it reminds me so much of AKL and as you know, AKL is my favorite resort as of yet, though this may take the cake. You can take a boat from this resort to MK and get those mornings where you're looking out on the lake, which is nice, also there are some dining options I want to check out, Roaring Fork and Whispering Canyon Cafe (BRING ON THE KETCHUP! (;), so there's definitely a lot in store for this resort. Also, it seems a lot more lower priced than most deluxes, so I'm hoping if maybe we use DVC for this one, this will be our resort :goodvibes

Yep, so those are the resorts. If these don't work out, I also have BC and YC on the mind, leaning towards YC, since I like the theming, even though it is New England themed and I'm a New Englander, it's a TON nicer in my opinion than what I've seen in our hotels up here. Also, as a last resort for these resorts, we would end up in ASMo or All Star Sports. I'm really hoping we don't have to go to those resorts, POP is for me. :teeth:

For plans by day-to-day, there is nothing definitive since I haven't looked at EMH days and the crowd meters (Does anyone know the site that measures crowd levels?), but I think for arrival day, we'd go to AK first on those 5 day and 6 days trips. If, our trip ends up on a four day then it would be AK and MK or whatever has EMH that night, maybe EPCOT. Mid-week, for the five and six day trips, we would be going to IoA and Universal since I'm anxious to see WWOHP. If we end up calling that whole part of the trip off, I want to try to book a KTTK tour, but we'll see. I'm also thinking about looking into the Wishes! Dessert Party. Danielle (IheartDDuck) has taunted me long enough, but I'll get into that later.

Yup, so that's the specifics of the trips. Any thoughts? The next update I'll go into Dining and then we'll get into my must-dos for the trip! (:

:tinker:

All of your resort choices sound great! I have stayed at wilderness lodge and pop century and they are both on my favorite resorts list! Wilderness lodge is great because they have all the great features that come with it. pop has great deals and is just really fun. And of course both have great theming. I stay at port orleans when i was younger but i haven't stayed there recently so i don't feel like i can give a proper critique. good luck chosing the dates and resort!

Wilderness Lodge- best resort on disney property. At least in my opinion.

Every time you walk in, it feels so magical. Its got this great, home atmosphere that just invites you in. The whole resort is just so scenic and natural. It's all real wood and they have a geyser and a great viewing spot kind of near the pool. The pool itself is awesome. And Whispering Canyon and Roaring Forks are great restaurants. It might be a bit more expensive than the other two resorts, but it is well worth it.

And I've been reading since the beginning if you wanted to know.

Thanks! That's good to know. Yeah, basically the reason why I want to stay at Wilderness Lodge. Being able to take a boat right to MK is something I've always wanted to do. It's my favorite park, so that makes the resort even better. Pop definitely for the price and I've heard it's totally worth the value given, whereas the All Stars not so much, so I can't wait and that Cheesecake is calling to me :goodvibes

First, :welcome: Glad you could join in! (:

Oh wow! If you say it's that good, I'll definitely have to vouch a lot more for that particular resort. I've heard about the geyser, I will definitely have to get a picture of it going off. Hopefully we can ask the DVC member we know to donate some points so this resort will not be so pricey. :thumbsup2

Oh, ok... well glad you could pop in now :teeth:

Thanks! Of my four disney trips, I've stayed there 3 times. It's a cool resort to explore. If you go up 3 or 4 floors and look down on the lobby it's an awesome view. And you can get a better look at the animals on those really big lantern light type things from there.

I don't know why you say I taunt you....

:rolleyes1

Okay, maybe a little bit......

I love POP. I think for the price, it's perfect. POR is nice, but not my favorite. Not that it's not a nice resort, but I like the quietness of POFQ better. Just me though. You can't go wrong with the WL. You are making it very difficult. We'll just have to see how everything unfurls.

;)

Yeah... I wonder why he does think that way.

Totally.

Mhm yeah... I wonder if that big picture has something to do with it...

POP is definitely topping my list at the moment, it just sounds better and better. Same with WL... oh gosh, this is getting difficult. :headache: Though I never knew POR was a loud resort... I don't think that would bother me so much, but it's something to know in case my friends or my mom would prefer to not be near that. We'll see (:

Awesome. Ooh! Forgot to tell you about the totem pole!

It's not really much. It's in front of the gift shop and a bear is on the bottom of the stack, then Donald, then Goofy, and Mickey's on top. They're all wearing wilderness stuff, except for the bear. It's really tall and pretty good for photos. It's kinda iconic.

Speaking of totem poles, the wood's real, and there are different animal carvings and heads in the wood, especially the posts. I'd put up a ton of pictures of WL, but I don't have any photos on my computer.
